A nice atmosphere, fresh food and friendly, efficient service. Tea refill is included which was a nice surprise. Good tea choices. Cakes are delicious.

what an amazing experience we had at the charming Beas at St pauls. The Afternoon tea was one of the best me and my friend had for a long time. The team went out of their way to make my friend birthday and her first visit to london a very enjoyable one I can wait to get back. and I... More

I have been going to Bea's for a number of years as the cupcakes are my children's favourite. However, on the past three occassions, staff at this branch have been unneccessarily rude and condescending. Today, service was brusque and unfriendly, and the lady behind the counter was sarcastic and aggressive. Sadly, as much as my children love their cupcakes, I don't... More

Went to Beas in Devonshire street Marylebone for coffee and a pastry today. Excellent place. A really friendly welcome by the manager and the Waitress plus the coffee and pastries were really nice and not overpriced for central London. We really liked the fresh trendy decor which gave a bright and welcoming atmosphere. Went shopping in the high street and... More

The food was great, me and a friend had the afternoon tea and wanted a coffee rather than a tea, the girl looking after us(her name was Nur) said it was absolutely no problem and promptly served us our beverages. The selection was great and we loved the sandwiches. At the end they packed up the food we left so... More

As soon as we arrived we were told we would have to vacate the table by 7pm. This wAs not a problem but from 6.30pm onwards we were constantly reminded that we must pay and leave by 6.50. Not ideal. The tea itself consisted of 4 X brioche buns with a rather curious selection of toppings. Eg on one of... More

This restaurant did not disappoint with the best pastries for high tea. You must make reservations because it is not a very large restaurant.

We stopped in here after visiting the Charles Dickens museum and we are so glad we did. The afternoon tea was delicious and reasonably priced by London standards. The pastries were phenomenal and the wait staff was charming. We will definitely come again!

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
