One tough bit of old sour dough, tablespoon mashed avacodo and 4 small wedges of (tasteless heritage) tomato. £7.50. Very disappointing for the only vaguely healthy veggie option on the menu.

In the heart of Hampstead, a pub that's roomy and cosy, with great staff, good food and a nice atmosphere. Chose the Hake as main course and wasn't disappointed, came with a delicious caper and samphire sauce. Added bonus was the country music band which was playing on the night of our visit.

Visited for Sunday lunch (made a reservation the night before) with a friend. On arrival, we both stood for a while waiting for someone to acknowledge us. Ordered a bloody Mary and was quite underwhelmed by how watery it was and the lack of spice. We ordered the pork loin and the lemon & thyme corn fed chicken. The chicken... More

Went for Sunday lunch and requested a table in the beautiful conservatory on an amazingly hot April day. The place is quite lovely and the food was absolutely delicious - spot on British cooking with very high quality ingredients. Service was a touch casual but I really can't fault the place. If you live nearby, it's a great place to... More

This is one of my favourite pubs in London. For starters the Ales are good. The pub itself has a great old character to it but it's the location that makes it the gem it is. On a sunny day you can sit outside in the street and watch the world go by. Highly recommend it.

First, why don't restaurants and pubs pay attention to acoustics? The Flask is another obnoxiously loud venue where it is impossible to conduct a civilized conversation while dining. The staff was friendly but inept. We had to return the carafe of tap water because there were large bits of dirt in it. And, our waitress got one order wrong. The... More

Probably the most Hampstead-ish pub around but a very eclectic mix of people with an undefined atmosphere & vibe. The food is decent but I never got the idea of this place..

Old traditional pub set iff the high road one minute walk from Hampsted station. The pub has three sections middle has tables and chairs as does the rear near kitchen.
