I have visited here many times for a take away and as all ways the food is really tasty and the staff are polite. The restaurant looks clean and tidy. I will be continuing to get food here in the future.

We've been to Needoo scores of times. The food is outstanding - the chicken karahi and lamb chops are especially good, and the staff are always very friendly. The decor is almost as loud as the customers (it's probably not the perfect place for a first date) but for an authentic and very good value taste of the east end... More

I visited here on Saturday 27 March. We all went for an evening meal. The restaurant is a bit (very)chaotic i.e. Orders can get lost in translation. The food arrived, tasted ok. In summary, very poor quality food, you may end up being sick or unwell. Best to take the tube to elsewhere. Don't go here.

As we went as part of wedding party ( which in my opinion the place was not really for such an occasion). Food was really good especially compared to (over rated) Tayyabs which is around the corner. Will definately be visiting again to try the other dishes. When it's not so busy.

Ordered meat biryani, lamb karahi lamb chops and seekh kebab. The food came out very quick but it was lukewarm. I felt the biryani was just pilau rice mixed with lamb curry, as the lamb karahi tasted EXACTLY the same as the meat in the biryani. The saving grace was the lamb chops and seekh kebab, succulent and tasty.

Came here after hearing the reviews, I must say it was freezing, they had the Ac on! The service was very quick! But not efficient! The tandoori rotis I had ordered were hard and over cooked! The curries were average if that and the Samosas had been microwaved as they had come out soggy! I was extremely disappointed in the... More

I found myself in Whitechapel around 5pm last Friday and so arranged to meet a friend for early dinner. He recommended Needo and having heard good things we went there. We shared a chicken tikka starter...delicately flavoured and not bright orange/red like many other tikkas. For mains we had pumpkin (absolutely delicious), chicken and spinach (tasty but a lot of... Good service - enjoyed a wide range of dishes and the awesome grill, the peshwari naan needs to be served hot otherwise it was really good.

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
