This is your typical cafeteria style restaurant that you would find in any museum or tourist type attraction. A significant amount of the food is cooked/made to order in the Café itself (i.e. not purchased and brought in from an outside vender). There is the...More

You kind of know what you're getting at these places, so the service and finding somewhere to sit are all important. It worked out well for us and it was an enjoyable rest and recuperation before we went into the excellent special exhibition.

We stopped-by here for snacks on our recent visit to the"Tate" - we had enjoyed a leisurely viewing of Turner's many wonderful works, and were awaiting our "time-slot" for the Hockney exhibition - and we were quite taken aback by just how busy this basement...More

A good choice of snacks, the coffee was good and another cafe that serves soya milk for those who don't drink milk. Thank you for that.

The members' cafe is on the 2nd floor & situated in a wonderful colonnaded upper surround of the atrium (you can sip your tea peering down on visitors 2-floors below - if you can get a seat in one of the little alcoves). The location...More

We used this cafe as it was convenient. What a mistake. It was expensive - £11 for a roast beef baguette. A pasta salad which was pathetic etc. etc. We were left with the impression that we were a captive audience so we would be...More

We went as part of a joint ticket with the Hockney exhibition, which offered a cheese and meat board and a glass of wine. Crowded and grubby tables, offhand service, cheap wine, a slice of stale bread each and a board of a few scraps...More

Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than
most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely
residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames,
is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle
architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art
lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class
Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art
from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and
