this restaurant is the best in wapping by a lot. just spent a month there and they have resisted the trend towards the bland without getting too spicy.

Our usual takeaway Red Chilli was closed for some reason so we thought we would try Laksha Bay - I ate here about 5 years ago and vowed never to go back. However, the curry craving was too strong and we thought we would try it. We shouldn't have bothered! The food was very oily and bland. Filled a hole... More

My partner & I recently moved to Wapping and were looking for a local place to have a nice Indian when my aunt & uncle were in town. We were not disappointed at Laksha Bay. Everything we ate was to a high standard and the service was very pleasant and quick. All the flavours were excellent and came out in... More

Had a very watery curry from here and the flavour was so bland. Dahl wasn't very nice either sadly and it wasn't exactly cheap. Wouldn't recommend

I am indian, the food was Terrible. Food wise quality is worst than whitechappel cheap restaurants. Only interiors are nice. Oily foood and not tasty. They should fire the chef. Chicken biryani was a joke. If you want bloated stomach eat there. Its not indian authentic foood as they claim to be. Disgusting foood. I want to puke. I will... More

Visited here with my partner and we both loved it! I often go for vegetarian dishes but they can be bland-not the case here- very flavoursome and rich. My partner equally enjoyed his meat dish. The restaurant setting is also very nice with very polite staff. We will be back regularly!

This is the second or third time I've eaten here and I can't remember it being as poor before. At 9pm on a Friday night the place was almost empty, which wasn't a good sign. I ordered fish pakora which turned out to be a rather tasteless fishcake. This was followed by a pepper-laced lamb hara mirchi with a watery... More

I ate with my family. Prompt service. After poppadams we ordered a chicken bhuna, a chicken madras, a vegetable curry and a chicken byriani. The veg curry was average. The other meals sadly, were poor and not what we expected from previous experiences. In particular, the madras was simply not a even curry. It was a poorly cooked sloppy watery... More

Visited twice now, and really can't recommend this place. It's quiet on most nights for a reason. Food is certainly edible but not that great, with food colourings and flour overused in some dishes, and overly spicy, presumably to mask lack of flavour. Not that much meat in the dishes. Service is not pleasant, with lack of attention, topped with... More

Service was poor; the waiter was not prepared to pack leftovers in takeaway containers.. instead he bought some empty containers and left them on the table for me and my guests to fill up ourselves.. first time I've ever been asked this in a restaurant.. will not go back or recommend this place

The restaurant offers a special selection of seafood as well as some original dishes based on traditional Bangladeshi cuisine, but the old favourites are still there too.Vegetarians are well catered for, all meat is halal and the bar offers an extensive wine list as well as alcohol free beer, lager and lassi.Seafood is a Laksha Bay speciality running throughout the menu and there are fresh sardines and many other interesting sounding dishes.
