Love the coffee here and go regularly for my Friday afternoon treat. Really mellow, delicious coffee. Absolutely delicious. I made the mistake of trying out an nearby shop and will be returning to Wild and Wood from now on!

I came passed here a few weeks ago and noticed this very pleasant looking independent coffee shop which is a rarity if not unique in the middle of The City. The place is small and quirky with lots of interesting décor. I ordered a flat white which I was slightly disappointed with. The quality of the coffee was good but... More

Tucked in between all the dreadful high street coffee shop chains. What a hidden gem, great coffee. I went in the morning and the locals in the know are queuing up for their takeaway fix on the way to the office. This didn't stop the 3 staff to look after me and serve me some great coffee. Great watching them... More

This is a little haven for real coffee drinkers. Nice setting, fun seating and very good service. Good place to have a catch up.

This place does the best coffee anywhere in the square mile of the city. Cannot be beaten I reckon. Keep it up! Great staff too

Great atmosphere in this little cafe. Coffee was ok, but not remarkable. Certainly not somewhere I want to return to. My friend had a salty caramel croissant which she loved. Very limited food choice, so still needed to go find something other than cake.

I noticed this place while walking by one lunchtime and stuck my head inside. It looked very familiar and then I realised that I had been in it when it was up near Holborn. They have taken all the wooden furniture and moved it to London Wall. I was looking for a pastel de nata to takeaway, but they had... More

On entering the place, it almost feels as if you have stepped back in time. The ambience is fantastic where you can have an informal meeting or just catch up with friends. The proprietors are so warm and welcoming. The coffee, oh the coffee. Absolutely divine. Has now become a morning ritual to have one on my way into work.... More

My first visit to Wild & Wood was on a quest to find the legend that is a "crodoughnut"... Three visits later and I still haven't managed to track one of the sugary suckers down (I can only assume they arrive mid-morning and I'm too early when I pass on my way to work...and then too far away to plausibly... Came here for an informal meeting and loved the little place. The quirky interior with repurposed church pews is really cosy and my hot chocolate was very good. I'm not a coffee drinker but my companion was raving about it. They have a tasty looking selection of cakes but we went for a couple of lovely truffles.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
