Catherine street is a little off the tourist trap of Covent Garden and is easily missed which gives it a fair amount of charm ...I have been to the Opera Tavern many times over the years and the quality has always been excellent. The signature dish is the iberico pork and foie gras slider which is fantastic as is the... More

We went to the theatre across the street and went there for dinner. The server was very friendly and recommended good choices. We had some Spanish Tapas as starters and really good main dishes.

On a horrendously busy Saturday afternoon and a hungry 13 year old we were delighted that the obvious chain restaurants had no space and we fell upon this place. Many people have written that they felt it was expensive in reviews below however we felt the menu was interesting and varied and offered good value for money. We had 8... More

We had dinner there before going to the Opera which is right next door so perfect. The wine list is not bad and reasonably priced and some nice Gin cocktails. The food was excellent however the portions were very small so make sure you ask so you are not left hungry. If booking a table ask to be sat upstairs... More

Had a date here, it was okay but it wasn't the brightest of places and the meat selection wasn't to my taste. Expensive too. The bar staff were good and amended drinks to your liking!

We shared seven dishes and only one was really delicious. One was OK but the rest were really disappointing given the reviews and we did not eat all of it. The service was slow and white wine was served warm.

I love Opera Tavern. Eaten many many times, always at the bar and it's just perfect. Great service and the food is absolutely superb. Tapas style sharing - padron peppers are delicious. The star is the iberico pork and foie gras sliders - quite simply the best 'burger' in town. A Covent Garden classic.

'I fancy tapas' - tapped it into TripAdvisor after a little theatre visit and up this place popped. A great range of food options. Bar snacks were delicious as were our tapas plates. I loved the smoked haddock croquettes, partner found the steak divine! Extensive wine menu (felt slightly guilty ordering an Italian bottle but it was a good'un). The... More
