So glad we discovered this little hidden gem! We had the sharing platter and it was absolutely delicious. The Ethiopian St George's beer is really good too! The service was fantastic and the restauramt just had such a lovely vibe. I would definitely recommend - we will certainly be returning!

First visit to this restaurant and wish it was nearer to us in Dover. Would definitely like to go again. The food was tasty and beautifully presented by a lovely lady, who couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and would highly recommend.

We have eaten Ethiopian food in Ethiopia, Tanzania and London - our expectations are high - Zeret kitchen certainly does not dissapoint! There is a reason why this is the number 1 Ethiopian restaurant in London! In fact there are probably 2 reasons - the food is amazing and the lady who runs it is totally adorable - i would... More

I'm Ethiopian and I've had Ethiopian food in roughly 15 cities around the world -- Zeret was easily the best and sooo worth the hour trek from my north London Airbnb. The portions were generous, the food, as alluded to above, was one-of-a-kind (for the best experience, try the Zeret surprise for a sampling of her most delicious sauces), and... More

Looking at the photos we expected the food to be good but a bit of a cafe vibe- it was much more intimate and romantic than we expected. We chose the sharing set menu thing. Amazing and loads of food. Great value. The hostess was very attentive and gave us some tea on the house. We will definitely be going... More

It is a very communal way of eating with your hands - which is pretty cool. The food was basic but fresh. Not my favourite thing I have ever eaten but go for the experience plus the staff are great. Oh, and I notice the menu would be great for vegans.

Every May we celebrate my eldest sons gotcha day. The day I brought him home from Ethiopia. So to celebrate we always go for an Ethiopian Meal. This year we chose Zeret Kitchen. We live in Windsor so it was quite a drive but well worth the miles. The meal was very good, super reasonable in price. Very good value... More

After booking on a whim of wanting to try something different, this restaurant didn't disappoint. The hospitality was second to none, very welcoming and the family run establishment went out of their way to make you feel at home. The menu seems authentic and the flavours and food well spiced and very tasty. Eating with your hands and sharing the... More

Description
Lovers of Ethiopian cuisine and adventurous foodies will appreciate this bright, clean and modern restaurant in Camberwell that prides itself on its family recipes and dedication to authentic Ethiopian traditions. Zeret itself is a name that comes from a small village in northern Ethiopia, and the menu includes mostly chicken, lamb and beef stews made with butter, garlic and ginger served on pancake-like flatbread called enjera. All the food here is delicious, and the dining room is decorated with colourful placemats, potted palms and simple white walls. Perfect for communal/sharing meals with friends and family, the Zeret Kitchen has attentive staff and a relaxed atmosphere don't miss the Ethiopian style chicken cooked with green chillies, herbs and spices.
