Went with 2 friends on a Saturday at 5pm. We had booked and were shown upstairs. When we arrived there were just a few other diners. However, after about half an hour it started to fill up. The noise level was so high that we had trouble having a conversation. Whilst our order was taken quickly, the waiter took a... More

I went there on a Friday night with my boyfriend. The food was nice, there is quite a lot of choices, we had the "pizza" and a paneer dosa. Service was OK, nothing special, not especially friendly but the place was full. The big downside of the place was how noisy it was, almost unbearable. I don't know if we've... More

Finally got an opportunity to visit Sagar for a farewell lunch with a colleague and was surprised to find a large number of people dining on a Friday lunchtime. I generally think that a thali (multiple small servings of different dishes on one platter) is a sign of a good Indian restaurant - if you're confident enough in your dishes... More

We were looking for veg food during our trip in jan this year and we came across with this restaurant. Thali is great in taste and portion is really enough and we shared it for two person.

Good place to have decent South Indian Food. Best bet is to order the Udupi Thali which is quite filling.

I have visited Sagar about 6 times in the last two years, as it is located in an ideal place if you are going to the theatre. There are cheap eats here if you want something quick and tasty - eg dosas, or you can have something slightly more expensive by ordering a dish with rice. I like South Indian... More

I saw on a sign in the window of this restaurant that they had a separate vegan menu, which was very exciting. I went in and asked for it, but it was very unimpressive. Not many options, and none of them healthy. I chose what I thought seemed the healthiest, the Vegetable Kebab, but it was basically just fried potato... More

Well, I'm not a vegan myself but my guest was and so we headed here via Internet search. It was very busy but excellent polite and prompt service. One course, dumplings, lassi and lemonade for 2 came to a very reasonable £37. He loved his vegan pizza and plans to go there regularly.

Visited Sagar on a Saturday night at 7.30. Glad we booked as it was pretty full. Very attentive waiter. Menu had some very different meals on. We had the dosa and the "pizza". Well presented and cooked. £70 for bottle of wine and meal for two.
