Most amazing place to have steak near London bridge where history has been written. Good food. Good service . Lunch time is very noisy try other times during the week. I enjoyed it very much with my dad and coupe of friends. Planning to be there again during summer.

Visited the Gaucho Tower Bridge last Wednesday evening, the place was packed, don't know what the walk in policy is ( we had pre booked), dark inside but the views of Tower Bridge make it fine. Food is great, make sure you order the fat fries they are delicious , steaks are brought to your table before you order so... More

Went here with 10 people for a business dinner. They really pack in the people to a table! The service was good. Starters were good. Unfortunately both the steak (the butterfly sirloin) and the main side (corn with Parmesan) that the waiter said I HAD to have, were not very good. The other steaks and sides looked much better. So... More

Visited on a Saturday evening having prebooked a table for three people. It was very busy but the staff were very nice despite being obviously under a lot of pressure. Had drinks while waiting for our other guest, one small beer and a vodka and coke was £14. The menu as you would expect is all steak. The raw steaks... More

Went for a meal last night with adult children. Had rump and rib eye, skinny fries, chunky chips, mushroom and peppercorn and blue cheese sauce. Food OK, steaks cooked as asked for, chips a bit dry, sauces a bit small and lacking in peppercorns or flavour thereof, mushrooms good. We sat upstairs looking out to Tower Bridge, lovely, as was... Booked a few weeks in advance and told them it was a special birthday dinner with friends. When we arrived on saturday evening the place was stuffy and full of people wandering about the bar area, but imposing on other diners. Then they sat us right beside the front door which was freezing. I asked to me move and the... More

Good points. The service, food, drink, views and atmosphere were all incredible. Bad points. Small tables and terrible chairs that left you feeling incredibly uncomfortable with a severely bad back and in large amounts of pain upon leaving which was still ongoing the following day. Four of us ranging from 5 ft 4 to 6 ft 5 all felt as... More

We book in advance, after one our we were still waiting for a table. They lied in our face telling us we were next to be seated. Not worth it. Never again.

Had a booking for 8.30. Was still waiting for a table at 9.30. Was promised the next available table and saw how people who had arrived after us were given that table. It totally spoiled my brother's birthday. Staff were incompetent and couldn't provide a solution, including management.

Couple of weeks ago I went with my family to Gaucho to celebrate my husbands birthday. I have to say it was BRILLIANT! When we arrived  our table was waiting for us ( table with a view as I requested in booking), the view on tower bridge and city hall is amazing ! Since the begging staff knew that it... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
