I always pass by this restaurant but I'd never eaten there. For some reason, being on a very busy street, I thought this was more of a lunch/takeaway/quick bite kind of place. But we visited the other night for my friend's birthday and the restaurant is actually quite classy with a very attentive service. I had an amazing Prawn Thali... More

Service was great, personally I didn't like the chicken in fact I didn't even finish it. It was too chewy and gross at one point. The starters were nice.

We rarely eat in indian restaurants but we decided to eat here during our trip to London. And it was a great choise! Food was really delicious and the price/quality surprised us. Service was pleasant. My husband already wants to go back there tonight again ;)

Despite the seven of us, three adults and four children, everyone of us enjoyed our visit. There is food for everyone, mild or spicy. And what food. We will definitely go back there, next time we are in London.

Great food and tasty without being too hot. Since we were in a rush to get to the airport we requested they were speedy with their service and they were.

Trip advisor ratings go from average to very good. There should be something in between, perhaps just good. Masala Zone has a trendy look and feel to it. Nice decor. Exciting looking cocktails and the thalis were beautifully presented. Service was fine. The food was okay. Flavours were fine but nothing exceptional and the lamb and chicken were a bit... More

We ordered a takeaway today. It was supposed to arrive in under 45 mins. It took over an hour. When it did arrive it was freezing cold. Half the chicken tikka was raw, with only too pieces fully cooked. The naan was barely cooked and it was hard to find a potato in the supposed potato side dish. We preceded... More

For some reason, I was really disappointed to discover that this is part of a chain. I walked in on spec and was pleased with my meal and with the service. Pricing on a par with what you would expect from London. I have to be honest: it was worth going. I would go back. Can't you name it something... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
