On the advice of a few people we ordered a takeaway and was delighted with the food. There are a lot of indian restaurants in the Ealing area, but many are disappointing. Mumbai Avenue was different, the food very tasty and not the standard curry offerings of many local restaurants. We will be visiting the restaurant to eat in to sample more of their delicious food. BYOB is great as well and the food was reasonably priced for such a high standard. Well worth a visit.

the service was wonderful and the food was absolutely delicious- especially the smoked aubergine crush. My family and I have visited or gotten takeaways from Mumbai for birthdays, when guests visited, and even for our Christmas Eve meal as our kitchen was being renovated. The atmosphere of the little restaurant is intimate, relaxed and friendly, and the waiter has always been accommodating and helpful. It’s a gem of the Draytons, and my favourite place to eat in Ealing.

Fresh tasting modern Indian. We were a party of ten and all were very pleased with their choices.
Okra fingers to start are a must.
Dosa a spectacle in its own right.
My lamb dish was very tender and the strips of fresh ginger a nice touch.
Service was excellent and very helpful with the non-standard Indian menu.
As they have no license, it was also extremely affordable.
All in all a cut above your standard.

Three of us went on a friends recommendation on Sunday evening.
Indian Food for ‘the English’ Is how I would describe this restaurant, even if they are trying to be ‘modern Indian’ as suggested by other reviewers.
The menu does look interesting but the chef doesn’t pull off anything described successfully, nor included some of the ingredients described e.g the tomato, tamarind, chilli baked rice appeared to be missing its chilli, spinach and cashew!
We ate very dark orange paneer tikka, gloopy stir fried calamari to start and the 3 different ‘mains’ lamb madras , chicken kari, fish kari, all in very runny sauces that tasted very similar, bland saag paneer was ok as was some of the bread basket apart from one very undercooked piece.
Service passable but there was only one other couple who arrived after us.
Will not be returning.

Having been to Mumbai Avenue a couple of times last year we decided on the spur of the moment to eat there again this evening. Once again every dish was delicious from the battered whitebait and stuffed aubergine starters to the lamb biriani and chicken makhani. A very enjoyable meal of high quality modern Indian cuisine - with the no corkage BYOB an added bonus.

How on earth did I miss this??!!!!
In a word..... sublime. Took my family of 5 here and every dish was superb. Not a fam of Okra but the Okra fries were light and lightly spiced with mango and chilli. The Dosa’s were just delicious. The chilli paneer was delicious and the chicken tikka was better than any I’ve had. Nan was so fresh and light, just an all round delicious meal. Service was great. BYO. Every dish polished off. Mon-Fri 50% off at the mo. Total bill was £24. I would have been happy to pay £80. Highly recommend this gem of a place.

Do not order from GOOD TO GO APP,, My family and I love a good curry so when I came across a deal on good to go I snapped up the chance to get a curry worth £60 for £20.. the food they give u is a suprise bag so can contain anything. Well,, we got a half portion of daal,, so much garlic we couldn't eat it, same went for the half portion of okra. One pilau rice, some shredded chicken in a sauce that contained way to much salt. Bombay aloo which were to form and came in a watery sauce and a lamb biryani which was just ok. Does sound like £60 worth of food? Went online and worked it out to be £34 worth. We rang the restaurant and they could not have cared a less.. took pictures and have demanded a refund from the good to go app.

Recently opened & looked interesting, with a different menu from your average Indian. Did not disappoint -.very tasty baked aubergine starter & unusual Goan chicken curry with mint & coriander + delicate fish curry. Definitely worth another visit in the near future.

We were recommended this place via a local Facebook group although we have a good Indian restaurant locally. The menu is a little different to what we are used to although there are some recognisable dishes. We had poppadoms with pickles, a curry each, one vegetable dish, rice and a naan. This was plenty of food as portions were generous. The flavours were really good and the sauces not at all greasy. We had water with the meal and finished off with chai. The only issue was they didn't seem to have booked a table for us but luckily they did have a space.

No idea whether the food was any good as didn't have the option. My friend and I attempted to eat here on Saturday at 18.40. The place was empty apart from one couple. There were no reservation notices on any of the tables. Two of the staff were chatting by the till when we came in and ignored us. One of them eventually came over and we asked for a table for 2. He said hed have to ask if it was possible. Consulted his colleague and returned and said they were fully booked! There were no signs that this was the case.

Booked, turned up and there was no table available! We went away for half an hour and on return were presented with a table that was too small for our party (they had accepted a walk in whilst we were waiting and forfeited our space).

The menu is focussed, the food completely priced and very tasty, the service friendly and embracing. It's a cut above your regular local Indian restaurant. It's a treat.

Me and my partner love this place and we come here weekly. Great food, reasonably priced and the staff are incredible. It’s BYOB as well which we love. Really would recommend for anyone visiting Ealing.

Too much coriander,my stuffed chicken bhuna tasted the same as tomato soup,my children’s chicken was very fatty.my daughter called the food rank.the worst food we have eaten in an Indian restraunt
