This was the best curry I have had in a very long time! It wasn't the standard greasy curry made with cheap cuts of meat. It felt fresh and with high quality products! We visited here on a friends recommendation and was very pleasantly surprised!...Honestly would highly recommend! The coconut and pineapple rice, and prawn mango masala were amazing! And it was 50% off! but we gave them a good tip as it was definitely worth it!More

How on earth did I miss this??!!!! In a word..... sublime. Took my family of 5 here and every dish was superb. Not a fam of Okra but the Okra fries were light and lightly spiced with mango and chilli. The Dosa’s were just delicious....The chilli paneer was delicious and the chicken tikka was better than any I’ve had. Nan was so fresh and light, just an all round delicious meal. Service was great. BYO. Every dish polished off. Mon-Fri 50% off at the mo. Total bill was £24. I would have been happy to pay £80. Highly recommend this gem of a place.More

On the advice of a few people we ordered a takeaway and was delighted with the food. There are a lot of indian restaurants in the Ealing area, but many are disappointing. Mumbai Avenue was different, the food very tasty and not the standard curry...offerings of many local restaurants. We will be visiting the restaurant to eat in to sample more of their delicious food. BYOB is great as well and the food was reasonably priced for such a high standard. Well worth a visit.More

the service was wonderful and the food was absolutely delicious- especially the smoked aubergine crush. My family and I have visited or gotten takeaways from Mumbai for birthdays, when guests visited, and even for our Christmas Eve meal as our kitchen was being renovated. The...atmosphere of the little restaurant is intimate, relaxed and friendly, and the waiter has always been accommodating and helpful. It’s a gem of the Draytons, and my favourite place to eat in Ealing.More

No idea whether the food was any good as didn't have the option. My friend and I attempted to eat here on Saturday at 18.40. The place was empty apart from one couple. There were no reservation notices on any of the tables. Two of...the staff were chatting by the till when we came in and ignored us. One of them eventually came over and we asked for a table for 2. He said hed have to ask if it was possible. Consulted his colleague and returned and said they were fully booked! There were no signs that this was the case.More

Three of us went on a friends recommendation on Sunday evening. Indian Food for ‘the English’ Is how I would describe this restaurant, even if they are trying to be ‘modern Indian’ as suggested by other reviewers. The menu does look interesting but the chef...doesn’t pull off anything described successfully, nor included some of the ingredients described e.g the tomato, tamarind, chilli baked rice appeared to be missing its chilli, spinach and cashew! We ate very dark orange paneer tikka, gloopy stir fried calamari to start and the 3 different ‘mains’ lamb madras , chicken kari, fish kari, all in very runny sauces that tasted very similar, bland saag paneer was ok as was some of the bread basket apart from one very undercooked piece. Service passable but there was only one other couple who arrived after us. Will not be returning.More

Having been to Mumbai Avenue a couple of times last year we decided on the spur of the moment to eat there again this evening. Once again every dish was delicious from the battered whitebait and stuffed aubergine starters to the lamb biriani and chicken...makhani. A very enjoyable meal of high quality modern Indian cuisine - with the no corkage BYOB an added bonus.More

Fresh tasting modern Indian. We were a party of ten and all were very pleased with their choices. Okra fingers to start are a must. Dosa a spectacle in its own right. My lamb dish was very tender and the strips of fresh ginger a...nice touch. Service was excellent and very helpful with the non-standard Indian menu. As they have no license, it was also extremely affordable. All in all a cut above your standard.More

Having just bought a new home in the area, my girlfriend and I decided to try out our local Indian restaurant. The first big plus was the BYOB; something about choosing your own beverages for your meal is always more preferable, and with a wine...shop across the road you have a number of options. The food was excellent. The ingredients tasted fresh and the menu was packed with choice. Alot of the usual favourites were present but often with a added twist, along with some more unusual dishes for those a little more adventurous. Service was excellent and the staff seemed very attentive. Overall a fantastic experience for our first meal out and we'd be certainly keen to visit again. I'm keen to leave some constructive feedback points so that this restaurant can continue to flourish: 1. As its BYOB - ensure each table has it's own bottle opener. Having to ask the waiter each time is not particularly onerous but the little things make a difference. 2. Speed of the food. It seems harsh to fault a restaurant for being too quick with the food but our main courses arrived just after we finished our starters. A 10 minute break between courses is always good to allow things to settle. 3. Ventilation. The diversity of the menu means that many of the dishes arrive 'sizzling'. If a few of these arrive simultaneously then the dining room can quickly feel a bit smoky. Staff may just want to open the front door a few times to let some ventilation in on occasions. 4. Chutneys with the Popadoms. For me one of the things I most look forward to when I visit an indian restaurant is the pre-food appetizer of popadoms, chutneys and that 'first beer'. I felt the chutneys were missing a few of the key favourites like lime pickle and onion salad. Again, hardly something that would ruin anyone's evening meal but it would be nice for the restaurant to have these options, or maybe include some more unusual accompaniments in keeping with its menu and food style. Thanks for a great meal!More

Went on Friday, which was my second visit in a month. Fantastic food. It has a very interesting menu with lots of fish and unusual cuts of meat such as goat and mutton. We had the goat kari, seafood moilee, saag paneer, all were beautifully...and delicately spiced using fresh produce. The service was efficient and friendly. Wasn't expensive and they don't charge corkage. Just a note: we had lemon rice which was the best rice I've ever had! I will definitely go back soon!More
