Champagne was flat and took 10 minutes to arrive. Food, not much of it and rather uninteresting. No further offers of tea/coffee/drinks/food made and a £12.50 service charge. Wouldn't bother if you are thinking of going as there are far better afternoon teas.

Having read some of the reviews on here; I was looking forward to this afternoon tea. I was sorely disappointed. A few Beauty and the beast characters on the table, stale sandwiches(only one side, like they had been sat around uncovered) masquerading a coconut macaroon...More

Of course my pictures look amazing but actually it was just an average afternoon tea with poor service. We waited 25 minutes for the starter then when we asked it was like they completely forgot. Had to wait another 15 minutes. There seemed to be...More

Myself and a friend took our daughters (age 5 and 6) for the Tale as Old as Time afternoon tea and we left a little underwhelmed. The food was ok but not of the quality you’d expect for the price and location. The sandwiches were...More

Such a beautiful setting, but sadly the experience was pretty poor. The bread for the sandwiches was a little stale, the jelly completely tasteless (as in - it tasted as if they’d completely forgotten flavouring, it was foul. When we raised it our waitress just...More

We dined at this rather nice restaurant. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. After dining here, I was a little disappointed with the food, as I was expecting a more higher quality to the food that we had. Although what we had...More

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

A wide choice of Tea is included within the Tale as Old as Time Afternoon Tea. If you would like any other hot beverage, you can have whatever you like, but I believe that this is at an additional cost.
