Rajasthan II was recommended by the clerk at our hotel. It was less than a 5 minute walk and we could smell the food 2 blocks away. It's a cozy restaurant that seemed to be a favorite with locals. The food was delicious and pleased vegan, vegetarian, and carnivores alike. We walked out full and happy and liked it so... More

We found the Rajasthan II when staying near the Tower of London. The service was very attentive, polite and pleasant. As for the curries - well, they were almost the highest quality we have ever eaten in England. They have the usual menu items, but several unique recipes. In particular, the flavours were refreshing and the spices could be identified... More

The call went out; the chaps were gathering for a night out in London and the pub was chosen. All that was left was for me to pick the venue for the meal. I've been to the Rajasthan before a few years ago and recalled liking it. We got there, without booking, and they found us a table to seat... More

We came here for a friends birthday and what a great choice. The food is amazing. I don't normally eat poppadoms but there was something unique about these that made me devour them. The chutneys were also Devine. We were given extra poppadoms as a treat too for her birthday. We ordered the fish and duck tikkas and a prawn... More

I had a great experience here on a Friday evening. The service was incredibly speedy and gracious, without being rushed. The atmosphere was pleasant. And the food was both excellent and surprisingly inexpensive. Each meal includes a free glass of wine or beer. I expected the wine to be terrible, since it was free, but it was actually very pleasant.... More

Visited 2 nights on the trot. The food is superb and the service is excellent. Highly recommended. If you are nearby you have to eat here. Very popular as it was full on a Tuesday and Wednesday night.

Delicious Indian food located in the City of London (close walk to Tower Hill and Aldgate Tube Stations). I have been here multiple times and always had a wonderful experience. Additionally, my friends, colleagues and family that I have brought also enjoyed the food/drink/service. I highly recommend the Daal Tarka, King Prawn Puri, Chicken Korma, Chicken Tikka Jaipuri and the... More

Visited with a friend, really nice food. Quick service by friendly staff. Would recommend it, busy area and it's not on the main road but just down a side street. Nice atmosphere too.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
