I thought restaurants like this were a thing of the past. Missable host / manager which in turn sets the tone for the staff. A menu that more than tips its hat to the 1980's, not unpleasant tasting but not overly good. Over priced and...More

Went for a late lunch after visiting my father in law at the Royal Marsden Hospital which is almost opposite, so very handy. The restaurant itself has a very traditional English feel to it. We enjoyed Smoked haddock soufflé & grilled prawns/Gambas for starters with...More

Visited here last Saturday night. Booked a table no problem and the restaurant wasn't too busy. We got a nice table. The waiting staff were friendly. Menu was mid-range pricing. The English bubbles were a great drink. The starter choices were a bit strange and...More

We went for their Sunday Roast. On the plate can 3 slivers of roast beef swimming in gravy that tasted burnt and bitter and also swimming in this gravy were burnt vegetables, potatoes (pretty good) and a pop-over that by the time it came to...More

In London restaurants come and go depending on fashion, trends or management skills. PJ is one of the few still successfully in business after 25+ years and still providing high standards of food and service. Solid reputation, great ambience and excellent menu. Wide choice of...More

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

PJ' Bar & Grill, perfectly positioned on Fulham Road and literally 2 minutes away from Brompton Cross and King's Road, has well-deservedly earned its reputation as one of Chelsea's perennial favourite haunts. Popular and liked by all, PJ's generates the kind of atmosphere that is relaxed and makes one feel at home. In a nutshell, unpretentious and contantly good. With 'polo joe' designed interior - a tribute to owner Brian Stein's love of his polo team - and handsomely suspended wooden aeroplane propeller from one of the first original Vickers -Vimy (1911) centrally suspended over the bar, PJ's still entices both the long-term clientele whilst attracting the next generation of hip residents and Chelsea magnets. Using good quality and fresh ingredients, PJs constantly source the best ingredients to complement their well thought out menu offerings. PJ's transforms throughout the day with separate Lunch and Dinner menus made available throughout the week and the infamous PJ's Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays remain the one thing one must do on the weekend. The place to be... And the place to be seen. The service at PJs is friendly and professional. The front of house staff come across as being genuinely proud of what they do, are knowledgeable and accommodating. A uniquely elegant and casually sophisticated venue that plays host to many a memorable occasion.
