We booked this restaurant for the day we arrived in London. We knew that, after a 10 hours flight plus 2 hours waiting for connection in Frankfurt, all we wanted to do was to take a shower and eat a confort food at the neighbourhood,...More

We went to De Amicis expecting a happily run family restaurant except the owner was very cranky and made us feel uncomfortable. We ate our pizza and left as soon as possible as we felt quite unwelcome. Maybe we had an off night but I...More

Looking for somewhere to eat after a play in the area is not so easy. Nandos, Pizza Express etc all there but luckily De Amicis is there for an authentic Italian family restaurant experience. Worth the 50 metre walk from the Tube entrance to find...More

Arriving in London feeling tired and dirty but too early for hotel check-in provides the perfect opportunity to sit down in a warm and welcoming small restaurant. De Amicis is just such a place, situated in the middle of Notting Hill and convenient to the...More

Looking for spot for last dinner in London and scanned open table and came upon this. A storefront in Notting Hill, the owner greets and does all the ordering etc.. Fish special was perfect and ravioli delightful! Not pricey and wine was good, try it...More

De Amicis is the kind of family-run Italian restaurant you would have visited in the 80s. Friendly staff, home cooked, simple and tasty Italian food with good, reasonably priced wine. It's a bit quirky, the decor's seen better days but it's the sort of place...More

A typical original-looking Italian. And all the better for it. Am a bit sick of chain-Italians. Good food, served nicely. No frills. Friendly staff and management and quick service. We weren't rushed tho. All round, great.

Lovely, family run restaurant, great service, menu good, only a couple of items on specials board of which I had garlic oyster mushrooms but the dish tasted like French onion soup. I chose the steak for main course and whilst the home made chips were...More

A warm welcome awaits you at De Amicis where you are greeted like one of the family by Aldo, even if it’s your first visit there! Cosy booths, linen tablecloths and napkins, an extensive wine list and an all Italian menu along with daily specials...More

What you love about Italy is here in Notting Hill. This storefront restaurant offers the charm, warmth, and friendliness of the Italians as well as their unsurpassed cuisine in a dining room that is welcoming to all. The menu is classic Italian, with starters of prosciutto and melon, pizzas, pastas like traditional lasagne al forno, main of veal piccata in butter and lemon sauce, and pudding of zabaglione for two. Linger over a bottle of wine and then the superb coffee. The decor is low-key and comfortable and they won’t throw you off the table if you’re enjoying a long meal.
