looking to eat somewhere a bit different before going to the theatre, lovely place food is very good, but pricey, the cheapest bottle of wine is £27. they only sell small bottled beer £6. the set menu seemed good value for money, though we all just had a main course as we were limited on time. I just had a... More

We popped into the Brumus Bar Restaurant for a cosy drink with friends to finish off our Christmas visit to London; before getting back on the underground and making our way home. The service was very good with the presentation of our drinks and the complimentary nuts impressive. The atmosphere was inviting and although we had just popped in for... More

Heading to the theatre, my wife and I were looking around for a restaurant. The problem was that we had been burned before when trying to find a restaurant in the West End with so many tourists and theatre-goers creating scenarios where restaurants produce very "meh" meals in rapid style to push as many gusts through as possible. I was... More

My partner and I ate hear on Saturday early evening before going to the theatre and we were amazed. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the food was second to none. We will defiantly be going back as soon as we can. One of the best restaurants we have eaten in in London. Don't pass it by.

Look at £19.95 for a 3 course dinner in the West End you cannot go wrong. Food was excellent, there was a varied choice from the set menu and although the portions were of normal size it was filling. A la carte is available but you would want to spend more time over that. The restaurant decor is up there... More

Finding an after theatre supper in pouring rain can be a downer in the West End. So Brumus next door to the Theatre Royal on Haymarket with a good value 3 course meal was quite a convenient surprise. The food was such good value that the wine cost more than the food. But it made for a great evening and... More

Went to Brummus for a pre-theatre supper, prior to going to the Haymarket..so REALLY convenient, as it is literally next door. Staff were charming and helpful, and the welcome warm - especially nice as the weather outside was so cold and horrid. Decor is lovely - individual and a bit funky. We started with a glass of prosecco, and then... More

Another wonderful visit to Brumus. Our family venue of choice. Great service even though we confused the staff over our table reservation. Top marks.

Brumus is on the found floor of the Haymarket Hotel on the corner of Suffolk Place. The menu is very good and the food was delicious. Visited on New Years Eve 2016, before heading over the road to the theatre. Service was excellent, and the staff friendly. We didn't feel rushed and the price was very good for the quality... More

Brumus is in the Haymarket Hotel and you can either access it through the hotel or straight from the street. The menu is very good - i had monkfish and prawn curry, which was served with coconut rice, mini papadoms and chutney - delicious, One of my friends had the steak and kidney pudding which looked very good too. Rounded... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
