Called in here and had the afternoon tea as from the street it looked so nice. We weren't disappointed. The cost was £24 per person, which I thought very reasonable compared with other London prices. We didn't have a booking so there was a short wait for our table, the manager couldn't apologise enough and we received a complimentary glass... More

We chose this restaurant at the 5 star Haymarket Hotel for a pre-theatre dinner. Unfortunately, this meant that we were eating surrounded by noisy families having tea. The tables are too close together and the table we were allocated was just below the menu posted at street level outside so all though the meal people were peering down at us.... More

After having visited the cinema opposite last night, we dined at this Haymarket Hotel restaurant, having pre booked The restaurant at 8.,30pm was fairly quiet. Unusually , some table had table cloths and some did not! There is a set Menu and an extensive A La Carte, we dined with the latter. The menu had 5 choices of fish !!... More

Following the bad experience I had on the Christmas Day, I received an email and a phone call to apologise. The management team offered us a complimentary meal which I took it for Valentine's Day. And what an experience we have had. The whole experience was amazing. Thank you to all the staff member. I could see that they were... More

I had a lovely experience: the food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the dessert - sublime. I strongly recommend the lemon meringue cake: one of the best I have had.

The food was great - fish stew, vegan burger, jerusalem artichoke and mushroom bruschetta, smoked chicken tart. All great, and excellent value. You could tell the work that had gone into these. What really made our visit amazing was the friendly service from the waitress Robin. I don't think I've ever felt more welcome in a restaurant. Thank you!

Chose this for a dinner with an old school friend, wanted good food, good service and a restaurant where we could chat in a relaxed but formal dining setting. Brumus delivered on all counts. From our reception to departure the service was warm, friendly but professional - excellent is the only word for this. The surrounding were comfortable and the... More

Brumus is my favorite casual afternoon tea restaurant in London. The sandwiches and pastries that come with tea are so incredibly tasty.

We had a pre theatre dinner, the restaurant is opposite the Her Majesty's for Phantom. The set menu is really good value.

We stayed in the Haymarket hotel for the weekend and had breakfast in Brumus. Great experience! Choice is large. Portions are generous. Quality is excellent. Atmosphere is very elegant, cosy and contemporary all at the same time. Design is done by Kit Kemp, the owner of the Firmdale Hotels. Service was excellent, pro-active and friendly most of the time. When... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
