The food really was good. Everything we had was tasty and well prepared. My only comment is extremely slow. We are use to faster dining than 2 1/2 hours for dinner. By the end we ate our dessert fast to get done and leave. They had to go get utensils with each course and that took 5 minutes each time.

Booked for a special afternoon tea with my mum. Food was great especially the scones, waiting staff was great but the ambience really let it down. Just like having a business tea not recommended for a special occasion. No celebratory ambience, very bland room, few pictures, nothing to make it feel homely or special. Don't have afternoon tea here if... More

Had tea with two friends. Good choice of tea, excellent cookie, first class, friendly staff. They don't rush you and bring you water free of charge. Thank you to the kind gentleman who paid our bill without waiting to be thanked. You made our day.

Our 3rd visit on an offer with Amazon. Very friendly staff, we were the only one's in the restaurant to start with and were dealt with promptly and efficiently. As before, we had a lovely bellini, steak with bottomless fries and I was so much looking forward to it due to previous meals however, mine was very sinewy, chewy and... More

Went there on a Thursday night for a low key birthday dinner. Comfy environment, contemporary furniture, great location and very friendly staff. Surprise birthday cake was also much appreciated. Food is also great!

We were staying at this lovely hotel and their high tea offering was recent. We decided to take a chance rather than venture out to one of our favorite places. We were not disappointed. The bone china was beautiful, the service superb. After being seated, the restaurant manager was very upset that our cups did not match our saucers (we... More

Did not go to the restaurant so the review is purely of the bar area but as it seems to be staffed with the same people I wouldn't go to the restaurant either. If this place wants to continue to call itself a 5* 'luxury' hotel they really need to sort their staff out. The most rude, unfriendly, unwelcoming, unprofessional... More

Took my husband for a pre theatre dinner, our waitress was attentive but not intrusive. The dinner was excellent value and served at just the right time for curtain up. I had seared tuna with salad nicoise, and my husband a ham hock terrine, both dishes were prepared from fresh ingredients and were attractively presented and appetising. Our main courses... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
