On previous visits here, we have extolled the surroundings and enjoyed our coffee and pastries. This time, we thought we would try lunch. We were disappointed with the quality of food on offer - three bland salads on a small plate for £6.50, for example....More

Very expensive but lovely food. Go outside for a coffee and cake. Scones cost £4.50!! A muffin is cheaper.

V&A is a large museum, so we usually take a break in this cafe. The range of food is limited, but the cakes and tea are fine.

The café moves from the serving areas into the stunning 19th century Morris, Gamble and Poynter Rooms with their lavish tiled decoration, complimented by contemporary lighting. We went there for lunch while exploring the museum. As you would expect, there is a good and unusual...More

Reservations required! Don't miss this special treat for 30BPD, which is reasonable compared to other venues. Selection of savoury and sweet offerings is similar to what Queen Victoria favoured. Great dining space and so relaxing after the visual overload fro the museum offerings. Good friendly...More

The cafe at the V&A is such a wonderful place to sit, probably unique in the whole of London with its high ceilings and tiled walls it really feels as though it continues the majesty of the museum. The food has aspirations to match but...More

Paid a visit prior to visiting the Pink Floyd #TheirMortalRemains exhibition. As it was 12.30pm the place was heaving and it did take me a minute or two wandering around to get a seat. Beautiful decor, had a pasta dish which for such a busy...More

When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop,
they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined
tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And
when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already
got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the
perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion
walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the
ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this

Seems a bit of waste to work here. There is art and there is people watching.

I don't think you need to. It's a cafeteria type system, you get your food, pay at the till and then sit down. People coming and going all the time. I guess if you are a very large group you could call them beforehand and... More
