Nice venue adjoined to the Montcalm Hotel, 3-4 mins walk from Marble Arch tube. This appears to be the more formal, sister establishment of Hankies Cafe near Soho. Menu isn't huge but for it's W1H postcode is very competitively priced. Naturally 'Roomali' roti (hankies!) feature...More

Description
Tapas meets traditional Delhi street food at Hankies, a stylish West End eatery inspired by the classic hand spun roti, cooked on a searing roomali tawa and delicately folded into the eponymous 'hankies'. Hankies is a upscale take on authentic Indian street food, it evokes the heady scents and sultry evenings of the sub-continent in a distinguished setting. The West End's new dining destination for those with adventurous tastes, Hankies is no ordinary eatery. In a distinguished setting of warm wood, soft leather and glinting copper, it's a faithful homage to authentic Indian street food. Named after the classic roti, hand spun until thin enough to read through and folded into a 'hanky', this is the place to experience inventive flavour combinations in signature delicacies like truffle naan and yellow crab and duck egg curry. Succulent spiced grills are also a specialty, and there's an impressive selection of Indian beers, spirits and world wines on offer
