As alive and vibrant as its central London neighbourhood, Leicester Square Kitchen showcases an exquisite selection of contemporary Mexican and Peruvian small plates, entrées and specialities, alongside reserve wines and signature cocktails. Bridging the gap between authenticity and modernity, the design employs a playful duality between colours and materials, with black and white marble tables contrasting exposed columns and bright metro tiles shining to the backdrop of dark brick walls.

This is my third visit and once again the food and service were great. Good pre-theatre menu. Tasty tuna tostadas, calamari and stone bass, but love love love the matchstick chicken. It isn’t cheap for a fairly quick meal especially if you have wine or cocktails, but it is worth the money for the food and always great service. Can’t wait to go back again.

Went for an anniversary meal. It was our second visit and we were so impressed the first time we had to come back for this occasion. The food is absolutely top notch, plates are quite small but they recommend 2-3 per person, and we had 6 plus dessert and it was easily enough, as they come when ready, tapas style, so you can take your time. The Mexican Street Spices Asparagus is probably with best dish i've ever eaten. Good selection of veggie food, and a plethora of fine cocktails. It's fancy but not too posh so you don't feel uncomfortable, and yes it's slightly pricey, but we didn't mind splashing out a bit more for a special occasion. Kitti and Dani were very friendly and helpful, and even gave us our desserts for free because of a slight delay (which we hadn't even noticed), plus we got a free small dessert on top as a token gesture for the anniversary, which was a lovely touch. We'll definitely be back!

If you are looking for something different then this restaurant is definitely worth a try. Menu is Mexican and Peruvian, based on small sharing plates . The menu is explained by the waitress and I would recommend 2/3 dishes per person.
We opted to start with home made Nachos which came with a very good guacamole, followed by short rib and mayan chicken soft tacos - these are bite size but very tasty.
Moving on to larger dishes we had the rib eye steak which was beautifully tender and full of flavour alongside the crispy duck salad which had a papaya chilli dressing - these are both main size dishes. Alongside the steak we had the street spiced asparagus which had a superb sauce drizzled over the top - a really tasty dish.
To end we had the chocolate doughnuts (2 of these) with a lovely ice cream.
Wine menu is good and reasonably priced based on the area. Service is excellent , very attentive with the food arriving at good even pace.
Due to the number of plates you order the bill quickly stacks up and certainly isn't the cheapest , but considering the location and quality of the food, its worth every penny. Would definetly recommend.

Absolutely nothing bad to say about this restaurant except the lack of pre-theatre menu on a Saturday.
Peruvian and Mexican small plates were delicious and different to what we had ever tried before. Being veggie I had the chilli lime veggie chicken tacos to start, followed by the Tenderstem broccoli, kale and mushroom anticucho and the Lima Sensacion for dessert. Note that the food is pretty spicy, especially the side of Papaya & habanero salsa.
Food was pretty reasonable as bill came to £140 and that included two bottles of the Luis Felipe Edwards Gran Reserve Sav Blanc at £32 a bottle. The wine was served at the exact right temperature, so nice we had to have two bottles!
Place was buzzing and the service excellent.

We chose this restaurant as it was my boyfriends birthday. The staff were very attentive and we really enjoyed the food. Very nice combination of flavours. They did bring out a free desert with a cake and a mini fruit tart which was very nice of them. However we didn't know that you had to pick between 2 - 4 dishes per person. It didn't seem very clear from the menu an the pictures. Our bill came to £70 that was ordering 5 dishes and two sides. That is without any drinks as we had water. I would recommend getting tap water as it was nearly £5 for a bottle of still water. We normally ask for tap water in restaurants but forgot to on this occasion. Overall a very nice restaurant with great food but it was a bit too upmarket for us.

Came here with the family before a show just round the corner and had a very enjoyable couple of hours.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and even though some of our party had been before we were given good advice on how much to order for the 4 of us.
We ordered a variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes and all were very tasty and I'd say the best Peruvian food I've tasted outside that country.
We also enjoyed some good beer, wine and pisco sours.
Considering the location I thought the price of the food was very reasonable shame about the price of drinks though.

Amazing food. It’s basically tapas so don’t expect a plateful of re-fried beans, it is far more delicate than that, with tiny tacos filled with exquisite raw tuna. Staff were really friendly and for a restaurant smack bang in the middle of tourist London it was inexpensive. I will definitely be going back.

Other than the name (which makes me think of a diner not the adventurous menu they have) I love everything about this place. Definitely recommend reservations. As my friend and I enjoyed it so much we tried to go back later in the week but they were fully booked, fortunately we were able to get two seats in the bar. The margaritas were excellent! Although not on the menu I ordered a classic margarita ( and then another one 😉) and my friend ordered one of the many specialty versions they had. Our server was very helpful in telling us the spice level of both the food and drink. We truly enjoyed everything we ordered but the tomato ceviche ( amazingly fresh for February) ribs, sea bass ceviche and tiger prawns get special mention. Some of the food may be a bit spicy, but we enjoyed the spice level, and again our server was very thoughtful to advise us of the spice level of the dishes. Will highly recommend this restaurant to my friends. Perfect for pre and post theatre dining!

Amazing place to have a dinner. Me and my friends enjoyed a lot.. our waiter Gaetano approached the table with a very big smile, explain the menu and the concept, and also he helped us for some very good dishes! Some suggest for you crispy tiger prawn, duck salad, sea bass ceviche, and if you are fan of the spicy lamb cutlets and robata broccoli!
I didn’t had dessert, I will come back for that!
Thank you Gaetano and thank you to all Leicester Square Kitchen!

A fun place to eat and drink in central London. Great and unusual cocktails and tasty food. Not great cuisine, but a little different and very tasty. Pricy, but what would you expect off Leicester Square. Mostly "small plates" at around £8 - 13 each, but mains upwards of £20. Three of us and a child (who was well looked after) for an early evening dinner were quite satisfied at £200 incl drinks.

Was really looking forward to coming here for a special occasion after reading so many good reviews but we left pretty disappointed. Menu looked great which is why we went for this place but I felt it was massively overpriced and in cases poor. We had the guacamole starter which was incredibly spiced. The waitress even said that it was too hot (unhelpfully after we’d order it!). The other dishes were a mix. Sliders were lovely as was the sea bass ceviche although after being unwell the next day I suspect it may have not been prepared correctly. The chicken skewers were embarrassing. 3 measly chicken skewers for £17 with nothing at all with them - wow! We were sat next to a DJ booth, at 8.45 without any warning they turned the music up so loud (odd as the place was pretty empty) that we couldn’t hear each other so we decided not to stay for desert or cocktails and went elsewhere. Service was good in most parts but I felt they could have managed the spice level of food better (were weren’t the only ones mentioning things were too hot) and felt that putting us next to a DJ booth in a quiet restaurant then turning it up loudly was a pretty poor move. Wouldn’t be looking to come back here based on both food and experience.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit at Leicester Square Kitchen.
Firstly, let me apologies that we did not manage to live up to your expectations on this occasion. As a home of Mexican and Peruvian contemporary small plates, spicy flavours can be found in majority of our dishes just to lift up the flavors and compliment the food. With our team we work tirelessly to deliver highest standards and advise in advance our guests on the dishes that are much spicie, and we are sorry that you were missed on this occasion.
Moreover, I regret to hear that overwhelming music levels made you to turn around and look for another place for the cocktail and deserts on the night. That feedback has been taken on-board already and we have adjusted our sound system parameters in order to all our guests to feel comfortable without any exceptions while dinning with us.
Thank you again for sharing your feedback, we hope that you will give us another opportunity to change you mind.
