Every trip I've made to London over the past ten years, I've always stopped in at The Ten Bells. It's been there hundreds of years, and is believed to have been a pub where Jack the Ripper stalked some of his victims. It gets crowded in the evening starting around 5PM (like most London pubs), but the atmosphere is very... More

This is a traditional pub with a great cocktail bar upstairs, also has a private room for hire. The main pub lively, often very busy as it's situated opposite Spitalfield market, Chris Church opposite and on the corner of Fournier Street, a notorious drinking hole for Jack the Ripper (allegedly) and some of the finest examples of houses built around... Recently had my 50th Birthday in the upstairs bar. Bar staff were great and very attentive. Good PA for our DJ to play thru' and a 1.00 a.m finish.Top night with a great atmosphere in one of London most historic pubs, Jack the ripper and all that. Defiantly worth a visit, if your not hiring then downstairs for a pint... More

As part of our mini tour of the newly restored Spitalfields area of London, we stopped by for a couple of drinks on our way through from Liverpool Street to Brick Lane. I used to drink in this pub many, many years ago before it's refurb - it has links with Jack The Ripper and has always been a little... More

This is always my favourite pub in the Spitalfield area to meet friends and business colleagues. It is always busy early evening and in the summer it has an area where you can drink outside. It has a great selection of draught and bottled beer and the wine is good value. My only problem is that sometimes the music is... More

I visited the Ten Bells on the evening of Saturday the 7th January 2017, along with a group of friends, The Pub is a grade 2 listed building with a great deal of history relating to Jack the Ripper. The pub was very busy, so we decided to go upstairs to see if there was anywhere to sit, there was... More

The Ten Bells has been in existence in one guise or another since the mid eighteenth century, named after the the peal in Christchurch next door, although the number of actual Bells has varied at stages between eight and twelve. History has it that two of the lady victims of Jack The Ripper used to frequent the pub and during... More
