Came for a nice pint after a show at Charing Cross, the pub was busy but we were moved about 4 times from where we were perching by staff being told we couldn't be there! Absolutely ridiculous and not conducive to a nice pub visit. Whats the point of a terrace if you dont use it?

This Sherlock Pub used to have much better service and food in the restaurant. The menu has changed and the food arrived cold. The atmosphere is wonderful and the bar downstairs is still electric with a great beer selection but the restaurant had a very restricted selections of beer available and we had to leave our table to get the... Good food served and good value. Gets busy around 5pm and as it's quite small it's hard to get a table. Worth stopping for a bite to eat after a long day sightseeing.

This is my second time in this little pub. It's small but cozy - good choice of beers. I popped in for 20 mins

We went in this Pub for dinner and to know a real pub in London, unfortunately I only recommend the pub to have some beer, the burgers wasn't enough good but the beer was amazing!

Great atmosphere. Takes you back to the days of the great Sherlock Holmes. Recreation of his study on second floor. Great service. Good food. Fabulous fish and chips. Upstairs was a relaxed warm place to eat. Nestled near Trafalgar Square but easy to find. Famous little landmark and fun to see.

The restaurant is over the pub and in a Sherlock Holmes atmosphere. We had an excellent fish and chips that did not cost a fortune...

This restaurant has a great selection of beers and ciders that are all within the region. The food is good enough, nothing special, but at least it is traditional. The decor is probably the focal point of this restaurant, it looks very old timey and British. The staff are very attentive and polite.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
