We hired the private dining room for business dinner - from starting the booking process off to the end of the evening everything ran so smoothly. The team were super helpful updating table plan & switching a few things due to dietary requirements. Nothing was...too much to ask. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Fabulous venue - thank you so much!!More

Very busy restaurant with good selection of food. Very friendly and attending service. Not very many choices for a vegan person, even if it was advised in advance. Nice location and lovely decoration.

This restaurant is definitely somewhere to take someone you want to impress. Soft lighting and attentive but gentle service is the setting for some delicious Italian food. The foccacia is the lightest, fluffiest I had ever had - I actually would have been happy with...a plate of that, the peppery olive oil and glass of red wine. We shared two pastas, both of which were deep and richly flavourful. The tiramisu struck a perfect balance between creamy and coffee. Loses a point for being over-priced.More

Visited this restaurant after a recommendation and it was a great surprise. Setting, food and service were spot on. Wines were great and location very convenient. We loved every little detail and we can't wait to be back. Well done to the team!

Completely put a damper on our only night in London. We booked a counter seat and I have never felt more uncomfortable in a restaurant. Two particular staff members were very obviously staring, laughing and exchanging comments regarding my partner and I as soon as...we sat down. Happened on several occasions where I would look up and they were sniggering and laughing at me - like high-school children. One particular occasion I looked up and smiled which they looked at each other and laughed. If it was up to me and not a meal my partner was looking forward to for her birthday I would of walked out immediately. I asked one of the rude staff members if there was an issue, who proceeded to say ‘no issue’ and walked away and laughed. Manager was apologetic when I refused to pay service fee and made a complaint. However, would not be back and would not recommend to anyone.More

Chosen at random, this restaurant did not disappoint. In entry you are greeted warmly and efficiently by charming people. The tables are well spaced and ours in particular (in a curved niche) particularly welcoming. The ambiance is enjoyably busy and has a warm comfortable charm....It was busy the night I went but that did not distract from the service, which was impeccable. Courses were filling, yet obviously cooked with care and had great flavour. The staff were attentive yet effectively discreet. This place is not cheap and the wine list both extensive and can be expensive (cheapest wines per bottle were about £40) but that said for a superb 3 course meal, wine and two cocktails £150 each is worthwhile. I would certainly return. Overall a super experience.More

We walked in without a reservation (albeit early for this area), and the restaurant accommodated us with a table. The hostess was very polite and helpful, the service was great and the food was excellent. It is a little pricey but I will come back!

We are in London from Arizona for a few days, and decided to go back to Margot, which again was outstanding last night. My wife and our guests both enjoyed the carpaccio, served fresh with rocket & freshly shaved Parmigiana. I enjoyed the lobster pasta...along with the deliciously prepared sole. Our server he presented us with outstanding service, good communication and in spite of having many tables - with a smile! Fresh Chianti topped off the lovely dinner! All in all, a splendid night out. Thank you and see you soon again.More

We typically stay in this neighborhood and frequently pass by Margot's...so we decided to give it a go. On first impression, the restaurant is pretty, clean and large. We were promptly sat at our table and given menus. I believe we were attended to by...a manager, or what appeared to be a manager.. his presence was a little overbearing and seemed as though he was pushing us to put in our orders as quickly as possible which seems strange as there was only one other table occupied. We ordered drinks and asked for a bit more time. Once we had ordered there seemed to be confusion with the waitstaff. A woman came to bring one of our appetizers but was sent back to the kitchen by the man waiting on our table... only for her to be sent directly back to our table with the same plate. Weird. Once we received our mains and man came over to ask if we'd like parmesan on our food, we said yes and he shaved parmesan onto both plates. About 5 minutes later another waiter comes over while we're eating and asks if we want parmesan and we told them no thank you, we had plenty... they turn away and then proceed to push themselves over our plates and add additional parmesan to our plates. We we're both confused with this behavior... not entirely sure if it was a language barrier, they didn't seem to be proficient in english. The food was okay overall... nothing special and certainly nothing that warranted the price of the meal and a stupid cover charge. By the time we had finished our meal the restaurant was still practically empty, not sure what the rush was for. The staff here could do with a bit more training.More

This was our first visit to this restaurant. The surroundings and food were excellent and we had great service from our waitress but it was spoilt by the indifferent attitude of the manager. Our waitress seemed to be serving the whole restaurant whilst there were...two females on reception with little to do other than chatting to each other. There were three staff behind the bar who also spent most of the time talking to each other. The manager came to take payment (the only time he had recognised our presence in the restaurant) after a very substantial wait. We politely explained our experience to him and he couldn’t have cared less - no response and no apology. There are several references to this individual in other reviews. He is doing the reputation of an otherwise very good restaurant no good at all. Shame.More
