Had an afternoon tea, arrived early, we were guided to the bar. Very good cocktails. They then came and got us from the bar. They even made sure the drinks from the bar were brought over to our table when we wanted them. Various table servers, started with Rose champagne and our blends of tea. Sandwiches were amazing, I was... More

I thought that the afternoon tea at Harrods Georgian was great, but it was no where near as incredible as the Dorchester's. The service, decor, live music and taste were a little peace of paradise.... did enjoy our time so much that we had a drink at the bar afterwards! Please go, it does really worth it .... it is... We visited the Dorchester on valentines weekend and enjoyed their valentines afternoon tea. The setting was beautiful and perfectly decorated with red rose bouquets. We were offered Rose champagne on arrival which was lovely. All the food was delicious especially the unlimited sandwiches. The flowering tea was a lovely surprise bonus. In addition to the food being top notch the... More

I'm really disappointed with The Promenade. I booked it for my 9 year wedding anniversary. When booking I told the lady that it was our wedding anniversary and she said don't worry we will arrange a cake . However when we got there they didn't arrange anything! The table we had wasn't set . The food was okay and overpriced.... More

Had a mother-daughter tea experience at The Dorchester. The waitstaff were helpful and courteous, allowed us ample time to enjoy ourselves and not feel rushed. There was a lot more food than expected. The prices were in range with what you would expect from afternoon tea at The Dorchester.

Enjoyed another delightful breakfast here recently and we met friends to join us. Food and service were all great. Only comment would be that sat there looking around, I feel that the Promenade needs updating slightly as it's looking a little tired. However, enjoyable and would visit again.

This was the second time I have been to the Promenade for afternoon tea and on this occasion we choose to have the champagne festive afternoon tea. This included festive themed cakes and pastries, a glass of champagne, sandwiches and a choir singing carols. The service was impeccable and the hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The food is plentiful... More

We had breakfast at the Promenade to celebrate our daughter's 17th birthday. Booked a table in advance by calling the hotel - recommended to avoid disappointment. You do not need to stay in Dorchester Hotel to have breakfast in the Promenade. The Promenade has a lovely old English atmosphere (like the picture above) with subdued lights and massive vases full... More

We had afternoon tea at The Dorchester at Christmas; it truly was an AMAZING experience. The hotel itself is STUNNING, we had one member attending to us the whole time we were there. He made us feel very welcome and like nothing we could ever ask for was too much for him. The food itself was absolutely lovely. We're planning... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
