We had dinner at this lovely Gastro pub in the downstairs dinning room last week. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere perfect. after our meal we had a drink in the bar and a chat to Molly, the resident dog, who is also a draw for customers. Highly recommend this place and we will go again.

Very tasty food. Had the sea bream on a bed of Mac n cheese which seems random but worked really well. Pub is quite unassuming from the outside and the interior is quirky. We loved it and would definitely recommend

Five of us had a great Sunday lunch in the upstairs dining room - which was lovely and bright with windows on 2 sides [and the sun was out]. Only drawback was that when the restaurant was full, it was quite noisy. Well recommended.

In the good natured self-deprecating manner we have come to expect from the people of Chelsea, when Simon Cherry, proprietor extraordinaire of this parish, took over the place more than a decade ago, he named the place after the English interpretation of the expression meaning ‘to make a mess of things’. He didn’t, of course, and during the sympathetic conversion... More

The Pig's Ear - a traditional english pub with great environment and ambience. the food (fish and chips ) were simply delicious and the sharing platter with scotch eggs was finger licking . the mulled wine was not that great but great experience overall.

Disappointed with the average food, which was served cold. When we shared this with the manager, she was really defensive which made us feel quite uncomfortable. We're locals, but won't return again.

This fabulous bar is simply a must when visiting Chelsea. In my view the most balanced bar in London. The staff- Although mostly ladies! We're fantastic and welcoming and really made us feel at home. The food was of Michelin standard and the risotto was to die for. I travelled with friends and we had a ball. This is my... More

Good service, good starters, nice ambience. All that was destroyed by disgusting fish and chips that we had tha bad luck to order. It smelled horrible and the taste was totally unacceptable. What a pity for such a nice place.

My parents told me about this pub, and so I was marveled to discover this pub in a quiet place, moreover, the staff is welcoming and attentive. The food is marvelously delicious. I advise this pub. Kiss from France ;)

Met friends here for a few drinks before eating at a nearby restaurant. Good friendly service, choice of real ale as well as everything else you would expect. Very lively and noisy on a Saturday evening, full of young people enjoying themselves. We had to stand as no seats available. Didn't eat here, but would like to try it as... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
