We went here on a Saturday late afternoon/early evening...we had a little wait for a table but no worries as the bar is a really pleasant place to be. The staff came to find us when the table was ready. We both had halloumi and carrot burgers; I would call them veggie burgers as unfortunately the halloumi was not traceable.... More

Food very good. We had a really lovely time there. Staff made it for us. It is a little gem. Will definitely return. If you like beer your infor a treat. They give you a taste of beer to choose from. Great touch.

Gotta say the Union does an excellent Sunday roast...far, far better than the Richard the First next door. The chicken is particularly good, served with tasty roasties and crunchy, fresh veg. Staff are always laid back and friendly. Definitely book for Sunday lunch, tables and booths get reserved early.

The Greenwich Union is a little off the beaten track, located in an attractive residential area near the town centre. But it is worth seeking out for a warm welcome, good food and an exceptional range of beers - not just Greenwich Meantime (who own the pub) but over 150 others, and a fascinating book is provided with tasting notes... We were visiting Greenwich for the day and wanted a pub lunch. The Greenwich Union was listed in the Good Pub Guide so we thought we would give it a try. It is situated in a very pretty residential area away from the main tourist part of Greenwich. It is a big pub that looks like it caters for a... More

A great place to visit for food in Greenwich. The staff are super friendly and happy to explain the different types of meantime beers brewed there. There were 4 of us, 3 had burgers, the other had ribs and everyone loved their food. Definitely the best burgers in Greenwich! Was pleasantly surprised when the bill came too!

Friday evening visit in December, busy but not uncomfortably so. Spoilt for choice with the ales - meantimes own and also lots of bottled beers. Good food and good service, no complaints

We went at the pub in april with my friends from France. We enjoyed the large choice of beers and the garlic bread. The barman was nice and the atmosphere was cool. We loved it and are looking forward to go back !

Staying in Greenwich

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
