I went to this restuarant in Central London expecting a nice Moroccan meal. We were disappointed as the meal was tasteless. We ordered Casablanca and Marrakesh chicken, lamb dishes. We did mention to the waiter that the food was bland. On this particular night the restaurant was quiet , I liked the decor and the service was good.

With a hope to find another one amazing place with Morrocan food we went to Souk Bazaar. Place looks nice, waitress is lovely however a bit shy. Unfortunately huge dissapointment is a food. Just like meet taken straight from the hospital, very poor, no spice. Absolutely no taste.

I am not satisfied with the taste and menu but the this restaurant managed to create typical Moroccan atmosphere. we took the private belly dance session and it was fun to dance on arabic beats. Meat dishes were okay and very limited options for vegetarians.

I had a dinner in Souk Bazaar last night. I loved the design and the atmosphere of this place - felt like in Morocco. We ordered 2 Marrakech menus with tagine and couscous. The food was very tasty and seemed fresh but wasn't as flavoursome as genuine Moroccan food. The starters and desserts were like a joke - way too... More

I have visited Souk Bazaar 4-5 times now. It is in a great location just roughly 5 min walk from Leicester square station. I often come here for the shisha which is priced well in central London. Great shisha and the mint tea is a real treat. Real cosy with thick blankets. The location is on a side street and... More

Overall this was a reasonable experience.... the atmosphere is great which is what drew my friend and i in. Even though there were very few customers in the cafe, the staff - i think there were 2 - were non-existent for a while. It took the waitress about 10 minutes to come to our table. I know she was doing... More

We ate there expecting the real Moroccan experience. The restaurant is in poor condition. The food was tasteless and seemed to be microwaved. ..we did not even stay for the free desert. Don't eat here...poorly managed and poor food.

Good things: a nice space with a cosy atmosphere (though possibly a bit of a fire hazard with the amount of extension cables lying around next to cushions and the fabric hanging from the ceiling). The food was pretty good, though the lamb in the tagine was quite fatty. Bad things: our waiter seemed to be in a bit of... More

I have been before but took a friend for the first time. Also one of a handful restaurants that is on Tastecard and available in December! Despite making a very loud entrance and up-ending table top and smashing everything on there, we were seated elsewhere immediately. We had the Casablanca menu and enjoyed both courses. Decor has a nice cosy... More

Description
It must be those of us who are too young to hit the hippy trail have a secret hankering to get away from it all in a kaftan. However, instead of jumping on a ferry from Southern Spain and heading for North Africa, we do it in our lunch hours and head for the nearest North African restaurant. Souk is very much like stepping into Morocco - all low seating, cushions, low lighting and vibrant colours. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening they lay on belly dancing, and there is a dj after 11pm every night except Sunday and Monday (and every night during December!). Very Moorish if you are looking for a cheerful, cheap venue in the centre of town.
