Absolutely disgusting service.
Ordered food and drinks through the app.
After half an hour waiting, I enquired where they were, to be told it's very busy and there's a slight delay.
Ok I accepted this.
So I ordered a couple of more drinks through the...app, as our first lot were coming with the food apparently with it being so busy.
15 minutes later still no drinks.
I went to the bar to speak to someone in charge.
I explained the situation, by this time it had been nearly an hour waiting for our first order.
He told me the food had been delivered to our table but we wasn't there.
I laughed and told him I hadn't moved from the table as there is nowhere else to sit.
He also told me the drinks were delivered straight away.
At this point a young girl came over and asked what number were sitting at, she said the drinks were under the counter and some more drinks have just been delivered to our table.
I went back upto the terrace and guess what , no drinks at the table.
Someone did eventually come with some drinks. the table we were sitting at had been moved but no one had put it in the planning system.
Ok an easy mistake to make.
Well the food comes out,
It's cold the rice was lumpy,
So it's been re heated.
So after waiting for about an hour and half we got an apology and re heated food.and they couldn't get that right.
It's a pity really because all the other reviews are good and we are staying at the hotel across the road so it would have been our local until we go home.
And here I am writing an aweful one.
So all in all money down the drain, came away hungry , they didn't even notice we were leaving.very poor customer service.More
Ordered a steak (medium rare) and when it came to the table it was raw. I informed the staff and asked if I could have it cooked a bit more to which the kitchen staff rolled their eyes at the request which is rude and...unprofessional when they can be seen by customers. To send the manager for her to try explain that a medium rare steak comes with a bit of blood however they had ‘recooked’ the steak.
IT WAS STILL RAW..More
A few minutes walk from our hotel for a couple of days, this pub was excellent.
Quick service for breakfast and dinner and at Wetherspoon prices.
The staff are really hard working and offer great service.
Visited here for breakfast, as I think, did a lot of tourists because of the couple of hotels across the street.
Very busy at breakfast time but this did not delay the service and the staff coped very well.
The cooked breakfast on both occasions...was plentiful and very tasty and only £4.00More
Went in for a drink before supper, told that someone would be with us shortly, after waiting half an hour, still no drinks even though we queried why, seeing other people who came in after us being served first that ordered via the app ,...told member of staff not happy and went elsewhere, the slaughter house, such a warm welcome, very surprised at Wetherspoons as it was not busy.More
