Excellent service and reasonably priced ales! We enjoyed several scoobs and some lovely crisps and scratchings.

Went in for a meal but after the greeting or lack of it from the bar staff decided to go somewhere else to eat just had a drink. Stood at the bar waiting to be served, when eventually did they continued to talk to each other, no manners. Change thrust into my hand with no thank you. Clearly prefer to... More

We came in for drinks and a nibble. Dwaine at the bar was really friendly and allowed me to sample one of the pale ales before ordering. Nice choice of drinks. Ordered bbq waffles to share and they were v.tasty. Waitress was quick to clear our table which was great. Lovely staff and nice atmosphere means we can't wait to... More

I've been here a few times, Parking is easy, welcome is warm. The latest time was last night. This is not a gourmet place but if you want honest food at a fair price.... I have never seen it less than 50-75% full during the evenings and weekends. Last night the three of us each had a starter, a main... More

Two seniors , having spent far too much at the retail park nearby, decided to have a mid-week lunch. Our welcome was warm enough by Ana, and we were shown a presentable table and advised how the ordering system worked. Same system as many places, but when you utilise a table number and pay for your meal and drinks in... More

Popped in to have a quick drink at five pm... Was hoping to watch some rugby. Found a group of approx 20 young parents and their kids had blocked the TV area with their chairs,, and were dancing round to a child's TV programmes kid music, holding up the TV remote, screaming and shouting that it was their pub! Strange!... More

I ordered Plaice, chips and peas from the Lite Bite menu. Not especially well thrown onto the plate. The chips were average, as were the frozen peas. The fish however was terrible. Batter too thick, raw inside but VERY well cooked on the outside. Once I had stripped the batter off, the small fish was not too bad. I mentioned... More

After eating here for years I have never written a review as I tend to find this place one of the most inconsistent restaurants I have ever eaten at! We use it because it's local, free parking, usually not too busy and relatively cheap.... This Wednesday evening was a good experience due to the lack of customers and the many... More

Good Carvery experience on Sunday. However no price for the Carvery displayed except for a £1 extra for Large Carvery. Selection of Pork or Beef and then the standard stuffing, yorkshire and selection of veg. Overall it was £20 for 2 Carvery and 2 Soft Drinks which I dont think can be grumbled at.

My daughter wanted to treat me to a belated birthday meal. On her suggestion of going here I was reluctant as 18 months previous a Sunday Carvery was very inadequate. 2 drinks were bought at the bar. The venue wasn't very busy. My daughter chose the Pulled Pork on Waffles. I chose the Lasagne. Ordering chips for an extra 50p,... More
