Have just been for a walk around the reservoir in Thornton. Decided to try the Bricklayers Arms for Sunday Lunch. So glad we did. The food was excellent and the staff were great. Great value for money. It's the first time I've been out and had Lunch with no shoes on. No muddy walking boots on the carpet you see.... More

Been for lunch , food good , good value for money , staff nice , but not the place to be if you wanted a relaxed Sunday lunch as very loud , and felt a bit rushed , did not help with sky sports going on and people not eating just there for sky !!!

I normally go the bricklayers at least one a month for Sunday lunch. The restaurant area is a little cramped but the food and service are always first rate. Excellent value for money and i've never had a bad meal here. In my opinion the best Sunday lunch in the area.

After waiting 1 hour for our food and then being told two of our options options were not available we were really reasonable and picked alternatives - half an hour later and with 3 children in tow still nothing had appeared so we asked for our money back, the serving staff said it was on the way so we sat... When you placed your order the bar staff INFORMED YOU that there was a delay as we had bookings, we were extremely busy due to the good weather in the garden and the pub. But unfortunately it started to rain and then your husband started to complain in a very loud voice. I did explain that there were BOOKINGS before... More

Have visited this place several times for Sunday lunch. Good honest home cooked food and down to earth service. Very good value too especially for 2/3 courses. Big portions. Did have the lamb once which wasn't as good as the excellent roast beef. Best to book table in restaurant area.

Delicious & plentiful main course & dessert. All of the staff were friendly & helpful - nothing too much trouble even though they were very busy. Lots of choice on the menu, thinking about what to order next time already!

Went for the first time today for Sunday lunch. Nice pub and lovely food. My wife and I both had beef and Yorkshire. There was plenty of beef, the Yorkshire was well cooked and you got plenty of veg, and 5 kinds of it. Good, quick, friendly service. Well worth the price for good food.
