Our second week traveling around England and we were despairing of finding a decent beer. Everywhere seemed to have only ales and lagers. Finally a place with porters and stouts on tap as well as some good hippy brews. Bar-man was friendly and knowledgeable and...More

Great location but kind of hidden this pub has a vast array of ales and ciders to try, super friendly staff and is also dog friendly..... what more could you ask for!

Great little rustic type pub that sells good real ales at a reasonable price. Really homely atmosphere with cheerful staff. The food menu needs extending and the toilets could do with an upgrade.

This was a real find. We were looking for somewhere that sold real ale and didn't have music too load and this place fitted the bill. Great choice of real ales. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Not far from the tower!
