Visited this coffee shop for the first time yesterday on a wet day. The place had a buzz about it. Service was excellent. My partner and I both had coffees with scones and jam, cost £14. The meals looked very good but we had already...eaten a big breakfast. We will return next time we are in the area. The place had such a great atmosphere.More
Great! Not been for about 18 months as there is always a queue and am not up for that. Got there early and didn’t have to wait, food was delicious, we ordered 2 breakfast dishes and a side of hash browns - we couldn’t finish...it. Amazing quality, beautifully put together and friendly service. I also think really well priced as have ordered similar options elsewhere, paid more and been disappointed. Its really good and I might even queue next time, although probably stick to takeaway coffee and cake unless we get lucky!More
On our last day in the Lakes, we called in to Homeground (the best breakfast spot) for breakfast before a long walk. We had the vegan option of the Homeground breakfast sarnie, its what I would call a proper sandwich, it was magificent. The sourdough...ciabatta was fabulous and the sandwich was packed with smashed avocado, caramelised red onion, mushroom and homemade hash browns. They always have a few vegan options on the menu which change regularly which is great for people who go often. There was gorgeous looking cake but I was way too full. Highly recommended,More
We came in for a brunch and it was out of this world, there are 12 of us so it’s not so easy to fit us in places the staff were really accommodating and the food was something special and the coffee was amazing to...I’d 100% recommend visiting this place if your in the Lake District it’s worth the tripMore
promised lots, delivered little overall sadly. oddest hash browns I have ever eaten and unfortunately they weren't cooked all that well
A fantastic stop when having a wander in Windermere. Faultless coffee and small bite to eat. Would have loved to have time for a bigger meal as the food coming out looked AMAZING, we look forward to coming back soon.
We’ve just got to return to this place. Walked past and saw the queue outside and thought “this must be a good place”. Walked around the town again and saw that the queue had gone…got a table next to the new log burner - brilliant....Couldn’t stay long, so just a coffee each …but the food that came out of the kitchen looked amazing. Warm, friendly staff …paid the bill and told them “we will be back” ….and the food photos I’ve seen since confirm that.More
We came here for the long line waiting outside. The coffee and drinks were good but I think the good, though nice in small bites was a bit overwhelmingly sweet . If you order the French toast you simply get a lot of sugar and...cream all over , which may be nice for some but it’s just a bit overwhelming for first mealMore
Beautiful presented food, the avocado and feta is so fresh and tasty! Really friendly staff and it's well worth a queue 8f you do visit.
We came here twice in one day. First we sat outside with our dog for coffee. We liked it so much we came back later for lunch, which was fantastic, even though we had to queue in the rain. We ordered soup of the day...and avocado toast. Both were absolutely delicious. The service was excellent. Would highly recommend.More
Not as good as usual. When we go to the Lakes we often stop at Homeground. Menu seemed limited to normal. Staff with very little customer service, head down and no chit chat. Food was nice enough but expensive. Coffee is on the smaller side...and again expensive. Soup was tasty but small for the price, I think £6.50, it's soup, give us a decent quantity. We will come back, we do like it here and we've left many a good review on other social sites. Maybe just one of those days.More
Lovely staff, great food and cosy coffee shop atmosphere. We would definitely come again. It was our first time in Windermere and needed somewhere for breakfast. We stayed for 2 nights and came for breakfast both days it was that nice. Worth a try!
Consistently excellent! Definitely more of a brunch spot for me; a lot of breakfast foods appear on the menu. The avocado smash on sourdough with poached eggs and feta is a winner.
Late lunch. Friendly prompt service. I had Avo smash. It was lovely and really good sized portion. My husband enjoyed his homemade soup. We has breakfast tea to drink which was also good. Would ho back if in Windermere again.
