Came to stay at The Coppice Guest House between 15th and 18th May. We tried many Indians as we wanted a taste of home. This was by far the most authentic tasting out of the lot. We were greeted with a smile and swiftly seated, our drink orders were taken and then after a few minutes our food orders. Service... More

Visited the restaurant the other night with my wife. We ordered the set meal for two. The food was amazing. The lamb korai was delicious. I've had korai in other places but this one was unique and superb. The service was excellent. The staff were very helpful, friendly and polite. I would recommend the prince of India to anyone visiting... More

my partner and I stopped off at this little indian on the way to the train station as we were famished! and they did not disappoint. The food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious! The staff were very friendly and held a conversation with us which we enjoyed. We would definitely go back here again. :)

Wonderful takeaway. ! We had a very large order for takeaway (£100+) and everything was ready on time with all items present and free poppadoms and chutneys. I must say my tikka pathia was one of the best I've ever had and I eat Indian every week. Top takeaway!

Chose The Prince of India for a meal to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and so glad I did. The food was delicious with excellent sized portions. The prawn puri starter is almost a meal in itself. The owner took time to chat with us as the evening drew to a close which made for a very enjoyable experience. Very... More

We always enjoy our food here whenever we are in the Lake District, highly recommended! We have tried other places local to Windermere but this is the best.

I did not like it at all it is not Indian food. It is Banladishi food and servise which I do not like. Bad Samosa you can make better at home! Bad Lantil soup. Bad shrimp Biryani where the shrimps were not cleaned. The taste of biryani below average. They are saying frish orange jouce which is not! They charged... More

While you're travelling the best thing is that you get to eat food that ignite your taste buds just like the food at your home. Prince of India, did this for us. The food we ordered was yummy. We had returned from Orrest Head and after the hike we were hungry. The service was good and the ambiance also not... More
