Stopped by on Easter Sunday for the carvery. The restaurant was full and we hadn't booked as it was more of an impromptu visit. There was three choices of meat - i opted for the lamb which was divine! Plenty of veg and potatoes too. The Yorkshire Puddings were enormous! We thoroughly enjoyed the carvery and will be back we... I checked in and the staff a very friendly the rooms were across the car park and the rooms are very pleasant, clean and tidy. I then had a meal in the restaurant and ordered a steak which was absolutely fantastic and I would recommend this to everyone. I was on a business trip but I will be back with... More

Visited Stoneybeck Inn last night. Haven't been for years. Friendly service and the food was delicious. I had Brie wedges followed by lamb shank. Both fantastic. My wife had the soufflé followed by Cumberland sausage. We couldn't fault anything. Couldn't quite squeeze in a pudding but will definitely be back.

My partner and I visited here last summer... I am new to Trip Advisor hence the delayed review! We stopped for lunch here as we had heard good reviews about the food! The restaurant was freezing! Open plan and stone flooring really isn't cosy! The staff were very friendly and attentive but unfortunately the food let us down. I opted... More

A fully catered conference at an AA rosette restaurant, brilliant I thought. Unfortunately I was left disappointed. We were served tea and coffee on arrival, the plates cups weren't cleared afterwards and the drinks weren't replenished at any point though the day. Marks and Spencer's do a better sandwich selection. I couldn't taste the tuna sandwich it was totally overpowered... More

Was there to hear a talk upstairs. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The event was being held upstairs, there was good lighting and the chairs were very comfy, but it was a bit hot despite it being very cold outside.

My family and I visited the Stoneybeck Inn on the eve of Saturday 4th March. We decided to pop in after passing the pub on a visit to Carlisle. We were staying in the local area. Upon entering, the restaurant was full! It was so busy! We asked if there was a table for 3 but non were available. We... More

The website tells one that Sunday evening closing is 10.30pm. We arrived at 8.05 on Sunday 8th and the place was closed and in semi-darkness. How disappointing that the management sees fit to shut up shop two and a half hours early in disregard of the information on their website. Perhaps they adopt a cavalier approach to advertised hours as... More

Unfortunately due to a fire in the kitchen, we had no food for the party. This was disappointing as we had booked months in advance, paid £30 pp for dinner, a quiz and a disco. They only gave us £10 back for no dinner and this was at their bar. Not enough by any means. We also could not bring... More
