This is a very popular, very busy cafe and has a very varied and delicious menu. I was there today with 3 friends and we ordered 2 falafel and halloumi wraps and 2 Ruben sandwiches with coffees. For the falafel and halloumi wraps a side...More

Hi Tracey, and thanks for your review. I am very sorry to read about your disappointing experience with us. Having spoken to Tony our shop manager, I am certain you have been over-charged on this occasion, although we cannot clarify exactly what happened as the...More

This is a great little hidden gem, close to Finkle Street but tucked away down a narrow yard. Often busy at lunchtime, the homemade soups particularly are always excellent.

Great cafe in a snickel way in Kendal. The service was friendly, rapid and professional. The food clearly fresh fresh fresh. We had a salad box, bursting with flavor, and a roll filled to the brim with rare (and it was pink) roast Beef with...More

Finally had time to pop in for an early lunch after reading excellent reviews for a couple of years! Got there just after 12 on a quiet Friday in Kendal, Baba Ganoush was already fairly busy with those having a late breakfast/brunch and those of...More

Arrived at midday. Plenty of tables but it did fill up as lunchtime approached. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, comprehensive menu plus extras on blackboard. Didn't take long for the meal to arrive. Good cooking and filling meal. Will definitely return especially with friends and family....More

Always busy and justifiably so, expect to queue at lunchtime and busy periods but it's worth it. The menu is diverse and pretty unique, I've only eaten hash to compare with this in the USA, and everything is good. I'm giving 4 stars overall because...More

Plenty to choose from and a pleasant atmosphere. The staff work hard to keep their customers happy and well fed.

This eatery has two premises about 20 metres from one another. One is a sit-down restaurant and the other is a take-away with limited seating. I've used the latter frequently and for lunch I would go nowhere else in Kendal. The food is almost entirely...More

Hello, not at the moment in the food shop as it has an open prep area but we are opening a extra seating / eating area in a week or so and dogs will be welcome in there.
