There was no Vegan option on the menu. However when I asked, the chef provided one of the best meals I had eaten in a week of walking the Dales Way long distance footpath. Always worth asking what chefs can do, it is in my opinion the test of a good kitchen. The lesser kitchens will not be able to... More

Booked afternoon tea for the family for Mother's Day. Upon arrival we waited at the bar to speak to a member of staff to find out table. We were told it was not set yet despite the fact the place seemed practically empty. Staff were not friendly, with several walking straight past us as we waited to be seated. Upon... More

Me and my sister booked this place one week in advance stating that it was for afternoon tea on for Mother's Day. When we arrived with our family today, the staff stated they were not aware it... Have stayed several times before for business but this time was looking for a getaway for two couples and this fitted the bill perfectly with a great restaurant and bar and with a great service from the hosts. Really un fault-able

I like the Gateway Inn. It is very conveniently situated just off the A591 at Plumgarths. It is obvious from the road and a very good stopping off point. The bar has been refurbished and is pleasant though, sadly, not always that busy. The draught beers are good and the service cheerful and helpful. the food menu consists of decent... More

Took my parents and daughter to The Gateway Inn to celebrate some good news! The decor is beautiful, we were pleasantly surprised having not visited since refurb. We ordered Soup and Sanwiches. When served, we thought the waitress had made a mistake and brought out a Soup someone had finished. There was the equivalent of 4 spoonfuls of soup in... More
