We liked the look of the place because it was dog friendly. Unfortunately our dog was the best mannered in there. The service was poor and slow. We needed to take cutlery from the opposite table. Our starter of olives was served with crackers?? which to add to the bizarre experience were stale. Having decided to ignore this it was... More

My family and I ended up eating here for the two nights we stayed in Grasmere. Service is warm and friendly! And the food... delicious. Definitely recommend this restaurant. They're also dog friendly.

Situated just east of the river from the main part of town, Goody Blake's is a lovely friendly restaurant with a quality menu and reasonable wine list. The staff made us and our dog feel very welcome and the food was delicious. A relaxing way to finish off the day after a walk around the lakes

We ate here on a wet Tuesday evening in December. Our first choice restaurant was closed (contrary to its website) and this was across the road and open so in we went. There were no other customers so I cannot comment on the ambience but the food was very good and the service excellent. I would be happy to go... More

Very friendly, very dog friendly especially since it was November and most places that are dog friendly in Grasmere request you sit on the terrace which is a bit cold in November. We just had lunch - baked potatoes but lovely fillings and apple strudel gorgeous. Buddy our black lab enjoyed the ham the man produced for him as a... More

We stumbled upon Goody Blake's on a very wet day, when we were five miles into a long walk with young children and big dogs. We would normally have lunch in old characterful pub when in the Lakes but, to be honest, Goody's was the first place we saw in Grasmere with a dog-friendly sign, and we were in need... More

Very friendly, dog friendly, food was very good and you got the impression they wanted your business. Skye the cockapoo and Lola the Pug loved it.

One of our favourite restaurants in Grasmere. The restaurant is small, but well set out.The menu covers a variety of classic dishes and lake District fare. The owners are very friendly and hospitable and always welcoming. Our meal was excellent,as usual and the member of staff who served us was attentive and helpful. Our meal was served without delay, as was... More

The food was nice, but not special. It looked like most had been sourced in Iceland. The whole experience was expensive for what is essentially a coffee shop. Food freezer behind the counter, ice-cream cabinet in corner. Cheap laminate floor, bright lights. Tables dirty, wires everywhere. The girl waiting was nice though.

DONT GO. From opening the door of this grease smelling establishment, We should of turned around and left! After being told to sit anywhere, then a 10 minute wait for our drinks order to be taken.....there was only one more couple in! After a edible garlic muscle starter, we opted for what can only be described as the worst curry... More
