From the moment we arrived, this was clearly going to be a great evening. Very welcoming and attentive from the start. All food was superb, the chateaubriand was certainly the highlight and we were very well looked after by our waiter, Andrew. Will definitely be back.

Nice setting and comfortable lounge. Service was efficient. The afternoon tea proved a disappointment for all despite the long explanation about the patisserie chef making all the cakes especially to order. Didn't feel special at at all. The dry slabs of gluten free bread and scones were difficult to swallow. Plain cucumber, plain ham and tomato with onion were the... More

Just as I was deciding to take a few friends out to celebrate my Birthday, I received an e-mail with an offer for the above. This seemed to fit the bill! I booked late- the day before- as no slots were available on-line for my chosen time. Quibbles would be that the lady who met me said she had just... More

Disappointing - despite looking good, too many items were dry/slightly stale (eg salmon bagel, ham croissant, mini doughnut, and even the scones were a dry and disappointing let-down). Didn't complain at time, so as not to spoil my friend's birthday treat, but feedback sent directly to hotel remains unanswered. Having had high expectations, both left rather deflated.

Good choice of teas, unusual savoury selection, tasty scones and cakes. Staff very friendly. Service a little disjointed. Lovely, cosy setting. Price reasonable.

My husband and I have always been massive fans of the Hotel Du Vin chain - beautiful buildings, lovely rooms, brilliant service and excellent food. It’s been 18 months since we last had a meal at our local Hotel Du Vin in Tunbridge Wells, and we arranged to meet friends for dinner there last Friday evening to celebrate a birthday.... More

Vegetarian choices are limited but there were a couple of dishes to choose from. Best to choose from the fixed menu if you're on a budget. The house wine, needles to say, is very acceptable.

I love going to Hotel du Vin Tunbridge Wells because it is such a great building with the most wonderful bar and restaurant premises. It is worth checking the offers as they do run some 2/3 courses deals quite regularly. Unfortunately, the menus for these don't change often enough so you can get quite bored them if you want to... Start with the positive. We arrived at about 11am, having flown and been up since about 5am, hungry with three small kids. The front of house man very kindly directed us to the bar, and agreed to serve us bar lunch straight away. In the meantime, we had an excellent bloody mary. Club sandwich was OK, grilled cheese was amazing.... More
