Came here for Christmas Eve, it had a great selection of drink, some great deals and a wonderful family atmosphere. They served some lovely food too, I would highlight that it gets very busy so worth booking to avoid disappointment.

The roasts are just awful but only surpassed by the rude staff. Avoid it if you can. There are much nicer pubs with a better selection of beers and good quality reasonably priced food in Tunbridge Wells
A recommendation from a friend for Sunday roasts. They’d run out by 14.30. Staff were friendly but spread very thin and therefore not very attentive. Great venue and the food was decent. With more staff this could be great it was a little Falty towers.More
Thank you for your kind review. Firstly our apologies for running out of Roast Lunches by 2:30. We had no bookings that day and were snowed under by 1:00, with bookings at the last minute. We were short staffed because our Head Office system tells...More
A lovely find. We had a day in Tunbridge Well and looked for a local pub to get some food. We stumbled across The Compass, not far from the High Street in a small lane where this beautiful public house backs on to a park....More
Thanks for the kind review Paul. Nice to spend time chatting with you and the family, glad you enjoyed the town and our hospitality. Hope to see you again soon. David.
My husband and I went for dinner this evening with our three children. We had booked a table beforehand but when we got there our table was right near the bar which was extremely busy and lively. However we asked if there was a quieter...More
I live in Tunbridge Wells and decided to go out for Sunday lunch. When we got to the compasses we ordered our drinks and looked through the menu. I went to order and was told roast dinners were pulled during the summer, though it clearly...More
My fiance and I were recommended this place by friends and the experience could not have been better. The drinks were served to us quickly despite the pub being busy. We then sat down for lunch and the service was efficient and the food was...More
Wow what a fantastic night we had. 18 of us from work had our summer drinks and dinner here. Plenty of room but still a cosy atmosphere. Most of us ate and the food was great! The summer menu sounds crazy but was delicious! Staff...More
Was recommended this pub from friends while we were in area. Unfortunately we were gravely disappointed by the slow and rude service that greeted us. Due to the choice of pubs and restaurants in Tunbridge Wells this is truly one to avoid. Such a shame...More
The Compasses is a busy local pub, with a pretty good selection of beers. Have sampled the food - previously to this latest visit - so can't comment in this review. Note that parking is very difficult in the village area so advised.
