A nice lunch on a cold day. Good value on the set lunch but a some what limited wine list. Overall worth a visit.

When returning my son to university last weekend and feeling more than a little hungry after a longish drive and a healthy walk into the city I picked this establishment at random (it had not been visited previously by my son). We opted for the 2-course set price (£9.95) lunch and we both selected the pate followed by medium-rare rump... More

Canterbury on a cold January day. To find somewhere to suit two meat eaters and two veggie/fish eaters is sometimes a challenge. We found Marlowes by chance and what a great find. If you ignore the slightly tired decor, the service and food were fab. A really good priced lunch menu and all our food was delicious. I can't believe... More

I can't believe as I write this review, that I've seen other people have a bad experience at the restaurant! From the outside, Marlowes looks a bit different to all the other chain restaurants available on a typical high street. Service was fantastic, the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, and we went on a cold day, but it was toasty... More

Overcooked to the point of burnt. Would not recommend. ordered the lamb. It had been cremated. Hard and tough to eat. Didn't even get a sorry when we complained.

My family and I had a great meal here on Christmas Eve after a wonderful carol service just round the corner. We have eaten here several times as the food suits our grandsons. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. Service was quick and food excellent.

We ate at Marlowe's on Christmas Eve as we had heard good things from family & friends. The place looked very 70's kitsch with all the decorations on the inside (you could not see the ceiling for all the decorations hanging from it) so we were a little reticent about the type of food we would be served, but boy... Lunch today. Had always assumed that this was a basic lasagna/burger/pizza place and was so impressed. 2 course lunch for £9.95...excellent calamari (not the usual rings but proper calamari) followed by tuna Nicoise. My friend had baked Brie followed by sea bass. Lovely friendly staff. We will definitely return !

Fantastic visit to Marlowe's on the 23rd December. Definitely book here if you're looking for amazing food at a reasonable price. The food was incredible. We ordered creamy garlic mushrooms and bacon wrapped prawns for starter and my dad said the prawns were the best starter he'd had in a long time. For the main course, we had tuna nicoise... More
