Just away from the high, this lovely friendly little cafe, has some excellent well booked and presented breakfast/brunch offerings. Options to sit inside or outside. Would have no hesitation to use again.
It's on the pricier side, but you pay for the quality!! Had one of the best BLT's and Iced Lattes. Staff Isabella and Kascha (may have butchered the spelling) were super friendly and accommodating. Definitely check it out!
I visited the Street Cafe in St Albans for brunch. The stack of 3 Pancakes (served with Smoky streaky bacon and maple syrup) was very good (although more maple syrup would have been nice). My cappuccino was also very good.
A lovely warm and comforting soup with an excellent presentation. The taste was spot on for a vegetarian with the right balance of flavours with perfectly toasted bread. Loved the ambience and to top it all the friendly customer service could not be faulted. Have...already recommended to a few of my friends as the place to visit next time they are in St Albans.
Can't wait to go back after lockdown. This time for lunch :-)More
Fantastic bacon sandwich on crusty bread with melting butter and a steaming cup of tasty English Breakfast tea. What more do you need for Valentine's Day breakfast ? Always a cheery welcome here and top ingredients. Can't wait to go back to eating in after...lockdown.More
The Street Cafe has ticked every box for me with food .Yesterday I collected 4 different coffees to have in the snow and they were perfect.I was served with a big smile and warm welcome.It’s a MUST to try!!!! Thank you!! X
We’ve visited Street Cafe a few times in the past so decided to grab a takeaway full English as a lockdown treat and very glad we did! Service still excellent and the food was tasty with generous portions. Best place for breakfast in St Albans!
I went to have brunch and do some homework and was kicked out as they want people to eat, pay and go to let others come in. The way I was treated was awful. Never going back after being regular for 4 years! I am...sure other places are more politeMore

Hi R EL ( You have an advantage over us as we have no idea who you are, and note this is your first review). Lets get to the facts;
1) You spent 3 hours in our small cafe and spent very little.
Love going to the Street Cafe for brunch or coffee and cake.
The vegan choices are excellent and quality is great every time. Service is always friendly and helpful, and the team make us feel welcome. Cannot fault it - and always out first choice...for brunch.More
I'm a regular at Street Cafe, whether it be for a coffee & occasional slice of gorgeous cheesecake, on my own or with a friend or two, also for a breakfast or brunch, solo or with friends. Whenever I'm there I've received excellent service, with...a smile, as well as delicious food. They're always happy to adapt their menu or specials to your dietary needs too. I really miss the staff & atmosphere, as much as my meals now we are in lockdown yet again & hope they will be able to open soonMore

Hi Anthony we love dogs , but not all our customers do! So to try and keep everyone happy dogs are allowed only in the outside seating area. With the weather improving we hope this is not too inconvenient?!
