Without a doubt, the best in Southampton! Fresh, tasty, not oily... perfection! Won’t have a curry from anywhere else.
Located near Centre of Southampton past the Bargate. A delightful Indian restaurant. Nice interior, good staff & excellent food !!! Recommended
Excellent food. Flavours are distinct, and the quality of the ingredients is evident. Service and handling of the order could not be faulted. Would highly recommend to anyone; either dining in (when allowed again), or for take-away.
I visited before in July when the restaurants opened following the first lockdown. I entered alone with no problems. In this instance, a waiter asked me whether I had a booking, despite the restaurant being almost empty when I arrived. The pannier tikka was rich,...although there were only three small chunks; there was more onion than pannier. The Jhinga Salan was essentially a chilli masala sauce, and it was a great masala. What let it down was the prawns' size; I expected jumbo juicy king prawns, but they were tiny and tasteless.More
Lovely restaurant, very friendly and very helpful staff. Extensive menu, there's lots of choice. The food was fantastic and full of flavour. The prices are very reasonable. Would recommend.
We can definitely recommend the coriander lounge the food was absolutely delicious. We were very lucky to get a table ( recommending booking a table) as we thought that 17.45pm would not be too busy on a Saturday...well we were wrong. The restaurant is cosy...and comfortable even when busy. Definitely worth a visitMore
This was our 2nd visit. The first was amazing 10/10 all around but this time the food was 10/10 but service from staff was 1/10 it seemed the staff did not want us there. We got asked 2 times for drinks order from 2 different...waiters was only brought 3 drinks of of the 4 we ordered. And when we asked for the 4th persons drink we ordered the waiter seemed like we asked for his full bank details. After I finished my drink I had asked for another beer a second waiter seemed like it was a huge ask even tho the place wasn't really busy. Main food came out which was amazing all 4 of us could not fault the chef the best Indian food in Southampton.. If we decide to go back I hope the service from the staff is a bit better.More
We visited this supurb resturant with my mother and John. We have a great curry house in Guildford and it is very hard to beat for food but decided to give Corriander a go. The restaurant was really busy but covid regulations were in place....Once we had our temperature taken we were taken to our table downstairs. Lovely booth seating. The food was amazing. Staff were attentive and couldnt do enough for us. Only downside was a table behind us that were swearing and being unacceptably rude to the wonderful staff. I cannot tolerate things like this so made my views pretty clear!! The best Rose wine and only £22 a bottle, which I thought was very reasonable. Doggy bag to take back to the boat was an added bonus. We also visited again a couple of weeks later. Same great food and service but without the gobby knob jockeys so a fab evening. My brother and his girlfriend are coming down from Kent on the 13th and he loves a curry so we will be booking a table again. Cant wait. Get the Rose on ice guys....see you in a couple of weeksMore
Excellent meal, nearly all Covid rules followed apart from wiping the menus down after each customer, no track and trace, but food was excellent couldn’t eat it all so had a doggy bag meal was a bit rushed, but sure was busy, complimentary drink on...leaving, baileys or sambuco, will returnMore
