We were going to eat here today but after trying to sit at one of the tables and being asked to wait while they gave them a wipe down, we agreed to stand to one side while this was done. The lady serving at the...front then went back to serving a take away customer and when she finished she said rudely, "were you wanting to sit down and eat, only this is all we've got left"pointing to the front cabinet. She made it quite obvious she'd rather we didn't sit down to eat and when I pointed to all the food items advertised on the board and asked if they could do jacket potato she said no they don't have any. If this was the case surely these items should have sold out written next to them or crossed out. This was before 1pm! There are ways of speaking to customers and making them feel welcome and his wasn't it. I won't go there again.More

I went for a long walk and stopped to buy a couple of cakes. They are not cheap but they are nice. Shame that the dark hair lady that served me is miserable. It is not the first time I visit and if it wasnt...for the staff I would go more often. There are no many shops like this left, do yourself a favour and employ enthusiastic people, yoy will sell more!More

Omg how hard is it to get a sandwich in this shop 1st try - no prawns 2nd try - no bread even though there was loads on the shelf 3rd try - Closing in half an hour even though it takes five minutes to...make Then the woman behind the counter told me to put my mask on if she had bothered to stand up out of her cubbyhole where she was eating a sandwich she would’ve noticed I was exempt The people in the shop and miserable and rude that work there Perhaps you should send in a secret shopper and see for yourself if I could put a -10 to score on you I would If you are lucky enough to get a sandwich there not cheap This is the only one of your shops(DRAYTON) that you have a problem with so it has to be the staff I wouldn’t mind but I tried three days on the row and I would like to say on a positive note that the prawn sandwiches are lovely when you can get one but at 9 o’clock in the morning when there’s hardly any sandwiches left and you’re going to work on a 10 hour day if you think they could put themselves out just a little bit But they are unapproachable and to be honest I don’t even think they’re really that bothered with serving you they are too busy talking to each other half the timeMore

Went in here after breakfast to pick up something sweet for later. Such a great choice of cakes etc to choose from. The freshly baked bread was lovely. Reasonable priced.

Over the years, bought many a birthday cake here. A treat for cycling down. Pick anything you won't be disappointed. They do nice gingerbread houses at Christmas and made to order cakes for all occasions.

Our Uncle had brought ' Sour dough loaves ' from the Southsea Heidi branch - when it was open for years . When it closed he brought and tried different brands from various supermarkets, markets , & home baked, but said that they ' weren't...a match on Heidi's ' . As he only gets around on a disability scooter now he couldn't get as far as the nearest Heidi's ' to buy some more. Living in Southsea too we help him so I rang up ' Heidi's ' in Drayton early to ask if they had any of the loaves , which they kindly offered to put by . On collection we greeted by a most helpful assistant with the loaves. So ' Heidi's ' do care - thank you.More

We popped in on the off chance and it wasn't busy so we decided to have lunch. The place is spotless and the front counter staff are nice but sadly they employ young people (under 20') who clearly don't give a toss and are totally...disinterested in the job. I ordered a latte and it was lukewarm but even worse was I asked for skimmed milk and one of the staff clearly used semi skimmed milk in front of me. When I mentioned it she said they didn't have skimmed milk so why not mention that when I ordered it. Our good was ok, nothing special just ok. This has so much potential but is let down by its staff.More

This was a strange encounter. We have been to other branches of Heidi and been disappointed, but we happened upon this at 3 o'clock on a Friday afternoon and there was nothing else around so we went in. There was a lady washing the floor...of the seating area, and she came to meet us. We asked if we could have tea and coffee. “Well,” she said, “we are closing in 20 minutes.” We assured her that 20 minutes was all we needed and walked across her wet floor to sit down. A young man came in and asked for coffee. “We will close at 4 o'clock,” said our lady. “But it's only just after 3 o'clock now,” he protested. “Well, we have to clean up and put everything away.” He left without his coffee. Although only pots of tea were on the menu my wife was given a cup of tea. Lest we were tempted to dawdle over a second cup? My lemon drizzle cake was nice, but my wife's chocolate brownie was dry. Not an uplifting experience.More

I have visited Heidi's many times over the years as I have family near by and I have never been disappointed. We stopped in this week and had lunch which was very tasty indeed. We had bacon and Brie sandwiches and my father had the...cheese and onion quiche. All of them went down a treat and the sandwiches are very generous so we were full afterwards. However, this did not stop us from getting some scones to take away for later- they are too good to resist!More
