As part of a group of 16, we dined in a private room. Our menu was the 9 course tasting menu. 3 of our party had dietary requirements which proved a little troublesome for time to time. Often we were left waiting with the particular...More

The food at my boyfriend's birthday lunch was very disappointing, particularly for a Michelin star restaurant. The waiters were efficient but many were generally too "pushy". We were asked if we wanted to have our canapes at least four times in less than an hour...More

My first visit to the restaurant at the beautiful Lords of the Manor was an unforgettable birthday treat. The three course Sunday lunch menu was quite delicious and everything so attractively presented from the starter of feuille de brick wrapped asparagus to an exceptional main of...More

We really enjoyed the tasting menu, and thought the flavour combinations were very well chosen. Guests seemed to be timed to arrive at quarter of an hour intervals , perhaps to facilitate the small number of serving staff. Our courses arrived with possibly a bit...More

The service for a "Michelin" restaurant was diabolical. Agreed as pointed out in no uncertain terms to me, we arrived 20 minutes early to have pre drinks and canapés with our friends as arranged so therefore the "bad service" was our own fault. We were...More

Dear Anntaz2015, Your review is disappointing given the actualities on the evening. You arrived 1/2 hour before your reservation time. Therefore it did indeed compromise service. We specifically take reservations within staggered time-slots so as to ensure reservations within that time slot get our full...More

The hotel is situated In a beautiful building, with garden, in a stunning area of the Cotswolds. However, the staff were not very welcoming and the hotel lacked ambience. The lounge and dining area looked rather tired. We went for Sunday lunch and the staff...More

Dear CAMD, I fear we appear to have had an "off" day from the way you have described your unusual experience at Lords of the Manor. As I said in a previous response it is highly irregular for guests to describe service here as dire....More

Attempted to come to the Lords of the Manor for a drink and some food, but was saddened to be told non-residents wouldn't be served! I had planned to book us in for dinner here (was staying in Lower Slaughter) so glad I didn't waste...More

For a very welcome change, an expensive restaurant worth every penny. Superlative quality of imagination as well as content & prep in the tasting menu; excellent staff. Quietly understated dining room. All exactly right.
