On a weekend visit to Painswick we visited the Royal Oak several times. An excellent pub, friendly staff and lots of lovely dogs. Great pub garden out the back to enjoy the last of the summer sun. Highly recommended.

Had two meals at this pub and both were great. I had never had a Scotch egg (I'm from the USA) until I had a pub lunch here. The food was wonderful and I'm now addicted to Scotch eggs....
