We booked this in advance but are unfamiliar with area, here for Easter break. Waitress was super friendly and very accommodating. Don’t come unless you want a roast on a Sunday as that’s what’s on offer! Lamb wasn’t great, portion sizes were not huge either....More

Stunning location, easy parking, great open plan bar - period, but contemporary with log burners and far reaching rural views - above all, amazing food with friendly, warm and efficient service by individuals that are clearly passionate about their business. A complete breath of fresh...More

We were recommended to visit The Plough for Sunday Lunch and how glad we did. We received a friendly welcome and were shown to our table, handed our menu with an explanation the roast beef would be prepared on the rare side which was fine...More

Description
The Plough is a quintessential English country pub with stunning views from our pond side garden over the Brede Valley with the sea as a backdrop. Situated on the Kent and East Sussex border and less than two miles from the medieval town of Rye, we enjoy a fantastic larder of local produce, from the freshest of fish landed in Rye and Hastings every day, to the wonderful delights from the Romney Marsh such as lamb and beef as well as the best of seasonal vegetables. With all this on our doorstep, we offer a good choice of local beers, ciders, wines and freshly prepared food, from our tapas, to our original choice of freshly prepared dishes and our homemade ice creams.
