After several recommendations from friends i ordered a few items from the regular menu with a view to ordering from the "to be ordered 24 hours in advance "next time depending on this first impression. i will be certainly ordering again and every dish was fantastic. the fenugreek chapati, spinach rice, aloo mattar and veg biryani also great. This is authentic Indian home cooked food and frankly i cant wait to try the specials and order from the "one day in advance" menu to really experience what they have to offer. Im annoyed i wasn't more adventurous on my first order but i think i may have found a new favourite. The whole payment, communication, delivery was perfect . what more can i say ?

Simply Veg is great. It's totally authentic Indian food and it's a few doors away from my house. They'll bend over backwards to make your food amazing and is so authentic a friend started eating it with his hands and kept telling us he'd not eaten anything like it since being in India.
It's our go-to try and impress people with how cool Portslade is takeaway and it never fails to impress.

We tried Simply Veg for the first time and what a great find! We ordered the Mixed Veg Curry and Egg Curry and were not disappointed - both were absolutely fabulous. The onion bhaji's and pilau rice were the best I've tasted - beautiful flavours. Thank you.

We ordered dinner from Simply Veg tonight on a friend’s rave recommendation, and it did not disappoint! So often curry houses seem to slather the same heavy sauce on different proteins, but the four dishes we ordered from Simply Veg were each unique, and stood out in both complexity and flavour. We had Barthu, Chole, Mixed Veg, and Palak Paneer. Only problem is deciding which is my favourite. Guess we’ll have to order again. 😊

Wanted to find an affordable vegan and vegetarian Indian takeaway nearby and came across Simply Veg. So glad we did! Really enjoyed trying some new dishes, all of which were really tasty. Looking forward to trying more in the future!

We used their catering service for a weekend of home events and the food was fantastic (wide range of great options), hot food delivered on time and a friendly service. Highly recommend Simply Veg and will be sure to use them again

The staff is very friendly and the curries are delicious. We had the banana, chickpea and aubergine curry - all of them were rich in flavour and so different from each other in terms of taste. Not the same base like you sometimes get in Indian restaurants/takeaways. But if you do not like it too spicy, I would mention it when you order, the food is very hot. Good price, I liked it.

This is a takeaway restaurant only, to be clear. Absolutely delicious authentic Indian vegetarian food, family run, unusual dishes, not your usual Indian food - so be prepared to try something new! Melt-in-the-mouth onion bahjjis, spinach paneer, chickpea curries and home made chapatis. Would highly recommend.

Very interesting and tasty Indian home cooking. As a meat eater it takes a lot for me to abstain and go veggie but if you are going to eat vegetarian then this is the food for you. Give these guys a try - a refreshing change!

This is Indian home-cooking, all done by a couple in their own home kitchen. You ring in your order and they deliver it freshly-cooked. It's all vegetarian and mostly vegan, and every dish on the menu is clearly marked as vegan/dairy/allergens etc. Not standard Indian restaurant fare, but all sorts of interesting things that I had never tried before. We were spoilt for choice, and our selection included a banana curry and a spicy tomato dish topped with crispy chickpea noodles. More specialised dishes can be ordered a day in advance. They have special street-food days too. Service was very personal and helpful. We'll definitely go back for more. (by the way, it's take-away only)

Tried this companies food out when attending the VegFest at the Brighton centre in February of this year and found that their food is so very good, fresh and tasty
They advertised a 4 hygiene rating which they really need to put sine work in to bring up to a 5 as people look at these scores closely and shouldn't miss the food here just because of the scores
If I lived nearer then would try further dishes from them
Recommended - Enjoy
Hopefully they will be at the VegFest again
