Lovely food and superb presentation. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, whilst still feeling like a place you could come for a special occasion. I would have happily paid £20 more for the quality of food that was served. My only criticism would be that service was very slow, but free nibbles were offered to make up for this.

We had a lovely meal on Saturday lunch time. I had the Better Batter and it was amazing. The vodka cherry tomatoes were so good but everything was outstanding. I'd recommend it even if you are not vegetarian; it is an experience! Don't let the complex explanations on the menu put you off, the staff are super friendly and will... More

Lovely service, amazingly delicious food that looks like a work of art on your plate. Such a treat to be able to look at the entire menu, knowing I can eat anything on it. The souffle was to die for. My carnivorous husband said if all veggie food was like this he could quite easily convert.

My only other vegetarian friend was visiting from Bristol and I was very excited to take her to Terre a Terre, Brighton's vegetarian restaurant jem. We had the sharing platter which offers a perfect selection of dishes across the menu. We also ordered the smokey scrunch chips with avocado lime hash which where very tasty. Another Terre a Terre convert!

I can't recommend enough. The food is pure joy, blue cheese suffle and numerous things that tasted beautiful (but I've no idea what they were!). As a vegetarian restaurant, any meat eater would be happy to eat here and not miss meat during the meal.

First visit to Terre a Terre and to an all vegetarian restaurant, from outside you would think it was small deli restaurant however it is extended at the back to a large restaurant looking out to a garden lit area. Amazing menu choice with intriguing combinations of ingredients. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff especially Barry who's anecdotes and light hearted... More

Presentation immaculate Service attentive and informed of the delights of the menu for us poor carnivores who may have not sampled such delights Wine list wide and eclectic Stars...tapas starters, ding dong aubergine main and steamed 'peeking' buns Bit of mix up re possibility of storing bikes - when we enquired in advance, sounded like problem but they couldn't have... The first time I visited this restaurant was with my spouse and his family. We waited a long time for our mains and drinks.. we were also rudely spoken to by one of the staff. The second time I visited was with my spouse for my birthday. As the food is delicious, we thought we would go again, assuming they... More

Description
Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant that will have even the most ardent carnivore waxing lyrical. Situated close to the sea-front. The decor is chic and stylish, using wooden floors and furniture to contrast with vibrant colours. But here the food is the centrepiece: dhal basmati buns with coconut curry leaf chatni, better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish and Thai aubergine jungle curry are just a few of the exotic and imaginative dishes you can find here. To complement the food, a large selection of organic beers, ciders and wines are available. A three course meal here costs an average of £30 per person. A refreshing take on vegetarian cuisine.
