Small authentic pub full of quirky character. Good selection of beers and the food is great too. Great bloody mary, cool atmosphere!

A must visit pub with a excellent selection of real ales that is always busy. If you like your real ales you must visit as they usually have at least six on the go. Very friendly staff and excellent food as well. The only problem is that as it is so busy it is sometimes difficult to get a table.

This pub is made by the really attentive staff who know their business and offer a real service. Small pub that has a charming friendly atmosphere. A busy bar that attracts all ages and they are a very decent crowd. A good range of beers but I stuck to the Seafarers on my visit as it was served spot on.... More

If you are looking for ales, yummy pub grub and a pleasant walk back in time to what a pub used to be go here!!!! Constantly fantastic, have been visiting for 25years. Just great. Heard they are doing an extension, really hope they don't make it another bistro pub and keep all the old tins and signs on the walls.... More

This pub has a great selection on beers and spirits, staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Food was top notch I had the homemade pie with beautiful mash and my partner had the seafood platter which was equally lovely. Highly recommend when in the area!! Check the tins as well full of lots of silly little notes.. first class pub!

Popped into one of my favourite Brighton pubs for a beer and Fish and chips. The beer was as always good. However, the chef must have changed because instead of the usual great fish I got overcooked over battered haddock with poor mushy peas. The best bit was the tartar sauce. Will drink here again but not eat.

Went to one of my fave pubs yesterday with my Son and had lunch. He had seafood platter which was reasonably ok although a bit pricey I thought at twelve pounds, I had the fish finger sandwich which was dried up bits of fish finger with barely and fish in it, hard uneatable bread, the lady behind the bar offered...
